I'll pass on the plaudits to mein host (Barry) think he surpassed himself with the firey curry soup; those fresh whole chiles put some heat back into a chilly day...
Valley Striders are awesome! 10 of you dragging yourselves out of bed at god knows what time to get over from Leeds by 08.30 - respect!!!
Would be great if you can join the next big day out (MAGNICENT 7 - 26th Feb) - see all the details on the Mag7 thread

Good shots OJ: I see the indomitable Southern Softie (aka gary)was powering ahead: obviously back on his road to recovery.
The moors had an apline look today;a bit of snow brings a touch of the downhill skiing buzz to fell running.
How lucky were we? To have 40 of us all lined to take advantage of it was brillliant (there's only been 2 or 3 white days this winter).
Would be great to see you for the next big day out on 26th Feb (MAG7)

Great morning on the fells today, followed by Barry's excellent hospitality at the Lion in the form of open fires to warm our frozen feet and plenty of zinging hot home made soup!! Great people out today – I think we gained a real flavour of things to come on March 18th (race day). Some pics from the vanguard…

Great pics! You obviously had more energy to stop and take quite a few unlike me who struggled to get ahead of people to take any! Legs feeling OK so hopefully they'll be up for a 2 hour circuit training session tomorrow and a short jog home :-)

Thank you for that, it was well worth an early start, such spectacular landscapes and amazing views and good weather too - how lucky were we! I am sure there will be some Striders who would love to join you on Mag7 and we will be in touch before then. Sarah

Steve, Thanks for putting on a great run. I look forward to Feb 26th (if I can earn enough Brownie points!).

Top morning out everybody - thanks JediMaster for getting me round with the fast group! I have a sneaking supsicion I held everyone else's pace back a little :o at points. Still, it was a beautiful day for a run. I'll see how I'm fixed for the Mag7 - marathon the weekend before. Are there different pace groups planned for that one too?

 I've been called many things, but not that before! Did feel good though, and survived with nothing more than a couple of blisters on me big toes. We're back in the room!
Will see what's going on Feb 26th and hopefully be able to join a Winter Magnificent 7 bash. Fingers crossed!

Indomitable; Incapable of being overcome, subdued, or vanquished; unconquerable. Sounds like a good moto for 2012. Will watch your results with interest.

Sounds good! Turns out that Thames Path 100 already sold out. On the lookout for some others though!
