Sorry, my fault for trying to keep little biara a bit dry walking up there. Ste Brock beat us there and he shot over the wall, thought it was unfair for others as the 2nd, 3rd place etc saw that way and went towards it. Blame me for cutting the corner, sorry. :o. It wasnt that easy to run down there, a few went up to their thighs in the bog. Amusing to watch!!
Congratulations on a really cracking event Macali!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the new route, even the thigh deep bog! Well run and well attended, I think you have a classic Village Gala Fell Race on your hands.
I especially enjoyed my tactical "Mark Cavendish style" sprint for 17th place. Not sure my HRM has got over the shock!

The Mark Cavendish style referred to his cool headed tactical sprinting...........ie not losing your head and going too soon!
This year's race takes place on Sunday the 16th of June at 4pm.
The revised route that I used last year worked well, so I'm sticking with that.
Sutton - Cragg Lane - Pepper Pot - Salt Pot - Hitching Stone - Kid Stone - Clough - Sutton.
There is a lead reccy of the route this Sunday (9th). We are meeting outside the King's Arms at 4pm. All welcome.
There is a map and route description on KCAC.

Aren't those instructions on the website the ones that got me hopelessly lost and put me at least 20 minutes down on where I should have finished?? :sneaky:

(My mum's told me a billion times not to exaggerate...)
Yes Dom I've not forgiven myself for that.
I'll check them again but I think that you were thwarted by having looked at them early, before a last-minute route change.
