work stops me playing this year :-(
that sounds rather interesting, don't know how i'd look in a tutu
Someone asked for a map I believe.
Can anyone who knows this race tell me if it's tough navigationally?
I dont usually like to do a race i havent previously recce'd, and I'm not going to win the world navigating champ's anytime soon. But after Lowther run a lad was telling me all about how good this race is and how I should give it a go. I certainly fancy it as I'm currently alternating weekends with a road run/fell outing. (not looking forward to tarmac 20miler tomorrow morn).
Any advice much appreciated.
It's only Checkpoint 3 - 4 you need to look out for really unless the clag is down.
A couple of years ago I think some ended up missing out 4 by mistake and turned up at the Calf.
But 3 to 4 is due East practically all the way.
http://www.c-f-r.org.uk/sedbergh_06.htm has some tips as posted on the 1st page of this thread.
Water is plentiful and fresh up to Checkpoint 4 where you should fill up for the last main drag.
Try "flying" it on Google Earth - it gives you a good idea.
