Will there be a Kendal winter league this year. I'm a bit out of touch. Thanks.
Deek
I've been busy the last few weeks speaking with the landowners and I've now got a draft fixtures list that'll be out in a couple of weeks on the Helm Hill website.
I've got the same races as last year and it'll be starting the second Sunday after New Year.
I'm looking for volunteers to help with the timekeeping and results, so if there is anyone out there who would like a week off from running and fancys helping for one race then please drop me a pm.
cheers
HHH
i work in Kendal so would not mind having a go
The list of Kendal Winter League Races is now showing on Helme Hill Runners Site.
Good Stuff:D
What sort of runs are they? Can't see any info on them, like distance or ascent :p
yeah sedberghs still in the calendar, it may not be a proper fell type of race but it isnt half a hard cross country course tho!! u still in the u17's scott?
no, move up to seniors now, looking forward to it, quite long races in the seniors.
Kendal Winter League 2010 got to a cracking start yesterday with 74 juniors and 70 seniors running in the Firbank Fell race.
Results (and a few photos of the junior races) are now on the website here
Good race today at Whitestones today as well. I liked the first big hill. Proper short fell race, and good spectator sport as you could see it all from the start.
oh...........and because the first race was cancelled, do we still have 7 races to do.....or 6? Scout Scar was one of my bankers.n
You should have got Geoff to run today - he'd be up for a laugh!
Thanks.......but does that mean we need to do 6 or 7 qualifying races.
Any sign of results yet?
Thanks. It was the constant hope that was really wearing, but now I know I can relax.
Results now available on Helm Hill Forum http://www.helmhillrunners.co.uk/smf...php?board=11.0
Did you like the new seniors course?
Regards
Richard
Definately. The first big hill was great. In retrospect it meant I should have warmed up more however as I frosted my lungs trying too hard.
What fabulous weather at Birkrigg today. I was thinking it would be a bit of a cross country, but a decent hill to start with, a great long descent to the road, and then a nicely graded long pull up to the top again. Big views all round.
