s'pose I'm next in the crosshairs then
seriously bricking it now - more nervous than first attempt 2 years ago - probably cos I know what's coming! :w00t:
traditional during taper madness to obsess over the weather forecast so here are my latest findings:
Friday
Mainly dry with scattered cloud and some prolonged sunny spells. Showers likely to develop through the day. Light to moderate northeasterly winds. Freezing levels staying above the summits.
Saturday
Dry and bright start, but turning cloudier with rain moving into the east during the evening. Light to moderate northerly winds, strengthening later in the day.
could be worse
Best of luck Daz. And there's nothing like the pre BG tummy collywobbles :)
All the best Daz.
Positive mental attitude.
You have all the tools to do the job, just a bit of application needed for 23 and a half hours.
You will complete on time.
Good luck Daz!! Sounds like you've trained well. Hopefully I'll be up Honister to see you through. Is there anything I can do/bring if I get over to the bottom of Gable or Kirkfell to see you through there? Relax and enjoy!!
Best wishes for a successful round, Daz.
Enjoy it mate, we doing Keswick Tri and a bit of L50 recce-ing so will try to say hello somewhere over weekend.
Have fun,
Auld Ken

Everybody - Thanks for the good wishes (esp. the PM that suggested I was going to "smash it" :w00t: ) - if it was down to collective force of will I'd be a shoo-in

my "Wasdale guy" (Lee W.) is now back onside - I'm giving him the stuff tonight - I'm sure he'll be glad of any help though
meanwhile... I am coming down with a cold - slight runny nose/sore throat - I don't get colds very often, and when I do they usually don't amount to much/affect me physically - so hopefully nothing to worry about...
Hopefully not bad Daz.
At least the weather is looking good : :D
" Saturday Lake District
Cloudy with rain and widespread hill fog in the north at first, spreading to all areas during the morning. This is likely to become heavy and persistent by the afternoon. Moderate northwesterly winds. Freezing level above the summits "

Hi old un. If you're still driving from Dunmail to Wasdale would you be ok to take a few things there for me ? Would just be a couple of bottles and a bit of food.
I'm down to do leg 3 and will then probably carry on and do leg 4 so would save me carrying anymore than I have to over to Wasdale.
Thanks
Will
