Hopefully some more pics will appear later this week, sorry for the delay I've on retreat in Devon..... well a bit of a doo really!
It's when they tell you you're looking a lot like Wilfrid Bramble (Steptoe's dad) on account of all the running that you've got problems.... :(

Thanks to SteveT, LuvShack & IanDP for the new piccies - some fab ones there - there's even a couple of me!
Anyone else up for this then? :p Should be a good turnout - I know it's a fell champs counter for at least one club (H'firth).

Torn between this and the Hebden Bridge.
There should be plenty of room to park at the Scout Hut. The best way to get there is to leave the Hayfield bypass at the Little Hayfield end, then take the first right into Swallow House Lane, under the bypass and the Scout is just on your left.
Entry on the day only.
I should be there - doing a BG support on the Saturday - so I may be racing or I may be watching.
looking forward to this
longest race I'd ever done last year (still is actually!) and barely scraped round
hoping to take a BIG chunk out of my time this year :)
I'll be there. Look forward to following you around Ian. What about doing Boars Head tomorrow - just your cup of tea. A gentle cross country round a country estate!
will be along for the slog too.
Pretty good Strider. although I'm still working on the weight loss you reccommended.;)
Just started working more with the HR monitor so we'll see where that takes us in 4 weeks.
Nicky and I had a crack at the Rigby but we were thwarted by bad weather early on (check out the LDC thread)
We'll have to see what happens over the weekend;):D
you're not after blood again are you?
See you there.
Ah, well.....everything in small steps, eh? :D
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on that, once you've had time to see any developments.
No, but after the BBB on Saturday, I may need an injection or two of the red stuff to get me going on this one.... or maybe some of that beer your flogging might be a better idea...
See you Sunday
P.
Water any one???
I doubt if water is provided mid route but if it's to be hot and humid are there any good streams on route.
I've used Red Brook before if there's any water in it, What about the Sett?
Good Luck everyone who is going to this race, sorry i could not marshall and give out jelly babies, i did want too, but best i keep to the doctors orders this weekend!
Take loads of photos, and keep me upto date with results please... xx
I remember two drinks stations a couple of years ago ;) Was keen to do this but a very runnable 16mile feels a bit too much too soon after recent return from injury. Have a good 'un everyone
Oh my god that was hot. I'm glad the two water stops were there. Extra water was picked up from springs but still that was hard.
I had a good battle with Stanners(disco stan) and another forumite(sorry memory is failing me) who both got away on the last descent. plenty of forumites on show and Danazz was taking pictures again.
lots of people runners came in with their head sagging.
despite lots of suncream I burnt my back:(
41st i think 2.21
As an aside saw a mountain biker just miss an elderly couple on the last climb, I asked him (very politely) to slow down as there were lots of walkers and runners on the track he replied with a string of abuse and then rode off as fast as he could which was fortuanate for him cos if I'd have got hold of him..... Told his mate what I thought of him. what an arse.
