CV - that has to recruit form Lancashire to get members and tries to copy the KCAC vest as far isd it can so people think its runners belong to us.
You get very exercised - are you related to Stolly?
Oh and on a different note - what is the green and gold reference on your tag? (I really don't know the answer).
hi anti,
first the calder vest have been in use since cv formed and that was a long time before kc existed. as i have said the worst vest is dark peak with yours not far behind. if your vest was mainly green with a red and white band around the middle, i think it would look stunning.
second, no i don't know who stolly is.
third, the green and gold is the anti glazer slogan at manchester united.
anti, tell me does anarak still run for you?
Firstly you are wrong - really believe we have the best vest out of everybody.
Secondly - lucky you
Thirdly - don't know do you have a name
Fourthly - Interesting, for those of us who are not that into football it seem like you are proclaiming yourself to be a Norwich supporter, are you a closet canary?
so are you saying in your slogan that you don't like the Glazers but will support man u until they financially collapse anyway. That seems a bit pointless, should you not be taking more affirmative action or vote with your feet and support Man City or Accrington Stanley or similar?

Ross Popper - do you read the forum? Or does anyone know contact details for him?
I have a T-shirt of Ross's left in the Hare & Hounds (the fact that his number is pinned to it is a bit of a giveaway!)
Also a blue fleece that may well be Ross's as well - or has anyone else left a blue fleece after the Reservoir Bogs race?

Time for this fantastic series of races to get a bump. largest turn out last year hopefully numbers can continue to increase this year as word spreads. Fri evening a short fats blast Sat morning a enjoyable navigational challenge of medium distance and Sun morn a runnable run out to clear the head of the splendid ale, fine company live band and loud dancing. Show me where you can get a better Mid Summer weekend than that.
BillJ pls empty your pm box xxxx
Il see everyone there, il be marshalling I'd imagine.
Camping
If anyone would like to camp for the weekend, Little Nook Farm near to the Hare & Hounds have said they'll accept some tents in their field. They have a small caravan site and don't normally take tents, but they've said they will do as a one off for the race weekend. But they'll only take 6 to 10 tents max - first come, first served.
Its very basic - there's a toilet as part of the caravan site but nothing else. £5 per night.
So if you want to camp there call Steve & Jane Brooks at Little Nook Farm on 01422 844667. Make sure you mention that you're part of the race weekend or else you won't get in.
The landlord at the Hare & Hounds is going to put a temporary stile over the fence between the field and the pub, so you can stagger to and from the pub easily (well, provided you're in a fit state to get over the stile) !!:D And they're happy for you to use the pub toilets from 9am if you want to.
The pub landlady has also said they can arrange to do breakfasts if there's much interest.
There's a sports physio and a sports masseur coming to all 3 races, to do free sessions before and after the races. Probably have to limit to 5 to 10 mins per person.
So if you need your aches & strains sorting out and a bit of maintenance to keep you going through the weekend here's your chance!! :)

Great weekend Bill! Even got my sports massage today - bliss!
Made up for poor Wicken Hill today so went home happy.
Results from today's Timothy Taylors Tom Tittiman race, and the overall series, now up on CVFR website.
Time to chill out and relax !
Cheers Bill. Great series as usual. Thanks to you and all the helpers/marshals for putting on another memorable weekend of events.
Hope James Logue managed to retrieve his car from the ditch...
Thanks Bill for a great race today and extremely prompt results.
My first race in a year, so quite pleased with a time of 41 minutes despite a training regime of nappies and no sleep!
Those tussocks really were terrible - I was reduced to walking that section, even though it was relatively flat. The shame!:o
Neil
Just had a lovely roast dinner, swilled down with a bottle of Timothy Taylors Landlord Strong Pale Ale. Served in a very nice Hare & Hounds glass tankard.
Cheers Bill and all, this series of races just makes my year, and young Dyson says he wants to do more!
It's really nice to get such positive feedback from this weekend of races. We were just so lucky with the weather which helps to make it. Great to see clubs from all over turning up but especially our friends from Leicester who support this race year on year. !!!! Bill you deserve to drink a few of those Landlord ales yourself now. Well done for a top weekend.
This guy on the right will never make much of a runner???? :sneaky:
More to follow....

Big thank you to all involved in the Reervoirs Bogs race on saturday, I had a great time on an area that i rarely get to run on. Some good route choice options, not sure i got them all right but it came together in the end!
Any sign of the junior results?
Was a fantastic weekend, Thanks CV for organising the madness... Ran the Wicken hill and Reservoir bogs, before having to head back to the midlands :-) Much fun had at the weekend! Thanks for the photos and the results being up so quickly.

I see you were moving steadily up through the field at every checkpoint Andy: 16 - 15 - 14 - 13 - 12 - then 11 at the finish. If there were another 10 checkpoints, at that rate you'd have won!!
Sorry for the delay, junior results now on the cvfr juniors website: http://www.cvfr.co.uk/Juniors/Races/...sworth2011.htm
Dom: thanks for the photos. Your new avatar did make me grin.
I just kept following anyone who looked like they knew where they were going, then latched onto anyone i could see ahead of them!
Thanks for the Junior results, we had a good turnout on Saturday for Clayton, hoping to make it bigger every year.
We'll see you again at Widdop, I've put it in our junior series so should get some over to the Packhorse for that one.
Andy.
