Right good do this. Free entry, loads of familiar faces and a bar of chocolate for finishing. Doesn't get much better than that. I'll be in Lakes so will miss it :(

Looking forward to this one again ~ great sign of the light nights to come:).
This race has style (or should I say stile ~ all 22 of them )
Very stylish Stotty, it'll be knee deep in bog!:D
Bump.......
Planning on being at this one, first race of the year, provided my knee holds out
Thinking about taking my 9 year old lad over to do the junior race. Do they have races for all junior age groups?
Cheers FJ. He just loves being out in the mud!
Looks like we might be getting some snow although I doubt that we will have a problem with the race going ahead. Bring full body cover though, we will be insisting that you wear or carry a cag at the very least.
Under 18s and under 16s do the main race at 6.45
The other junior age groups go soon after the seniors. Two race distances out and back. Under 14s do the longer route, Under 11s turn back sooner.
Bring some warm clothes for your children, could be a wet cold night !
GW ( Rossendale Harriers)
11 on the way out and 11 on the way back, dont let that put you off, lots of people love this race and you hardly notice the stiles.....honest !
Anyone got a map of the route?
I've looked at my OS of the area. Can see Liver Hill and the Sports Centre, but there apear to be loads of tracks between the two.
I take it isn't a choose your own route as others mention 11 styles out and back.
Flagged all the way, but this will help.
Just back from Liver hill. Thank you to the organiser and all the marshalls for standing out in that terrible weather. Thanks for the egg.:)
Well that was very wet, very muddy, and very enjoyable.:D
Thanks to all the organisers.
Good turnout considering the weather. 194 altogether including 53 juniors.
Results are now up on our club website and have been sent to Brett for inclusion on the Fra website.
This race is a memorial race for Harry Aspinall who was a founder member of Rossendale Harriers and a mighty fine fell runner.
Anyone got a map for Liverhill race ???
Is this any use to you? http://www.racemaps.org.uk/liverhill2006.htm
First evening race after the clocks change. A popular race, out and back route, no entry fee and no prizes. 6.45 pm start prompt so that everyone gets back in the daylight.
Junior races set off soon after the seniors, 2 race distances under 14s and under 11s but all age groups.
Race run in honour of founder club member Harry Aspinall
Gosh........dunt time fly....only seems 12 mounths since the last Liver hill romp. Bit dry over that way at the mo. plenty of time for rain though.
This tuesday, free to enter, 50% refund if you don't finish.Showers n changing at the Pitts, cafe an all.Can life get any better?
Looking forward to my first daylight evening race of the season. Hoping to get there early so I can stretch the old hamstrings in readiness for hurdling the 22 stiles en route:w00t:
Blimey, that hurt. But in a good way... ;0)
Good to see Derby Tup and Disco Stan, amongst others.
Well done old fella. Too fast flat and short for me, but the creme egg was a great prize:p
Good to see everyone last night
Presume results will be up here soon
Where can you find photos taken last night, seemed to be plenty of people taking pics, wish they would warn you, at least then I could have attempted a smile while struggling to breath..thanks for the egg was very yummy and went down a treat.
