No worries chief, I'm going to give it a miss this weekend too, done over 5 hours today, so that will suffice for the weekend methinks!!
Hope you have a good run Gary, sorry I can't make it!

Now thinking I might make it to the res for 9am, for the run, and not the reps! :)
Sorry mate, not enough decorating done. Only got the morning tomorrow to finish off so will have to miss out meself.:(
Take this as advance notice for next Sun though: circuits @ 8, 2hrs Pendling from 9.:)
Hehe no probs mate, will probs have been a slow run if anything for me tomorrow anyways!
Doing the Pennine Bridleway next sunday mate, then Wadsworth race weekend after, then its the 'Lakes Recce' on this forum the next weekend, so looking like weekend after that for next CTJM pour moi!
Actually looking might have to be Saturday afternoon anyway. Will post on here when I know more.
Not able to make a Sunday run this week because I'm heading off to Bristol (again ).
Instead I'm toying with the idea of an early 2nd half of FTOP on Thursday. 0600 from Barley with the headtorches to start off with. Only mulling it over at the mo' but if anyone else was to say yes, I'd happily make it a defo.
So, anyone?
No probs, will be interesting to see if I haul my carcass out of bed or just hit snooze with no-one else to let down!:o;)
All in hand Ian, all in hand!!;)
Was frustrating though.
Ah well mate, another time for sure! :)
Especially for SS, forever destined to trog up and down Pendle for the rest of his life and probably eternity thereafter, here's how best to experience Pendle..............

From the side of a better hill :D ;)
The same view in super duper wide angle panorama vision --> here
The hill is just one of many we have here in the Yorkshire Dales  ;)
Run round Half Tour of Pendle route for those looking to recce it, 0800 Barley car park, tomorrow.
Aye mate, probs will be up Pendle at some point tomorrow, but not at 8am sorry :)
Probs just a nice recovery run at a steady pace.
Enjoy mate :)
Just shows what you know, we actually had quite a merry little band of four today! So :p
Chubbs, Clive, young Mstr Baistow, and I had a nice gentle trot round HTOP, with some sightseeing (genuine, not navigational errors...no, really), and some contingency route planning, in case the RO chooses to divert the route like they did on the FTOP.
Young Scott's descent down Geronimo was a sight to behold. I only caught him near the bottom thanks to a decent slide down the last 20m or so.
Good time had by all, lovely day for it. Will upload Garmin stats for you later guys. Good luck in the race!;)
Well I will confess to not seeing this thread ever before, but I knew even at 0800 on a Sunday AM there'd be other runners about, so a nice treat to be running Pendle with a great team
Thanks for your expert guidance SS, good to see the real people, Gary, Scott and Scott.
See some of you guys on race day.
SS, I'm just away to read the monster thread!
Yeah nice to see you guys today had an enjoyable trot round :)
Here you go chaps:

Sporttracks corrects climb to 1,960ft. Clive, it's always kicking off on this thread, so keep your eyes peeled!! (And of course there'll be room for one more on the Monster if you want;))
Thanks once again for your time Gary. Great run this morning; a pleasure to meet Clive and Scott (wish I had his running ability as well as his name), look forward to the next time. As for Sporttracks :p prefer the sound of 2,170ft from the Garmin and especially the 3.58 min mile :D
Looking to do a bit of exploring round Widdop this Sunday. At 0800 I'll be parking up at 915337 (roughly) where there's a small parking area (I think) to the left and before the road descends over a blind summit (coming from Nelson) or on the right and immediately after climbing over the blind summit (coming from Hebden Bridge).
Yet to properly figure out a route (don't know what access is like), but want to take in Rapes Clough, Black Clough, work my way round to Widdop Res via Greave Clough and finally coming down The Scout/Raven Stones to the road. Then up to Round Stone, up to Shuttleworth Moor, round Upper Gorple Res then down Old Hay Dike and along to the cars.
Will MapMyRun it later.
Just driving home through there yesterday and it looked lovely in the sunshine. :)
Here you go. Looking at just under 10mi. Ascent figures off Map My Run are rubbish, but it takes in Lad's Law (Boulsworth Hill), and a couple of others on way round.

The Widdop Fell race is run round there SS. The section back from Widdop reservoir to the Pack Horse Inn via Standing Stone Hill is a good run and could be included in your round and the pub of course would make a good starting/finishing point :)

I did look up the Widdop Fell Race when I decided that's where I was going to run this Sunday. But the first part of the route I'm taking looks quite dramatic and I've been meaning to run it for ages. Might end up doing more over this way on a Sunday, so might look to do more of the Widdop Fell Race some other time. Ta though. ;)
Changing Sunday's rendezvous location (whilst Basement Jaxx's Rendez-Vu is on the radio...spooky:eek:)
Will now be meeting at the bigger parking area at the Eastern end of Widdop Reservoir (Hebden Bridge/dam end) - I'll post grid ref later.
Still be same route but will start the loop at this point instead, just makes parking easier. Any takers?
not up to date with this thread... me busy for a couple of weeks but may well hopefully start joining ya if i get the avalible time??
Whats going on and when
