India 139-4 not a bad start from England
Boycott was absolutely loving it on TMS this morning. Sounds like Finn and Anderson are bowling well backing up Monty and Swann.
India 273-7 at the end of the first day. Good day for England and Anderson and Monty were in the groove :D
Golf. A good walk spoiled.
England 121-0 at tea - that's the way to do it :D
Cook becomes the youngest player to get to 7000 test runs.
Then gets his 23rd Test Century and is now the record holder for England Test centuries.

Well that was a strange dismissal for Cook. Run out trying to avoid being hit by the ball? 190 just short of a double century.
Great effort by Captain Cook.
Bell out for SINGLE figures AGAIN. Needs dropping.
Looks all on an England win now.
Another inspiring performance by the young England captain. I really hope that he continues his form and unlike many, does not allow the captaincy to affect him too much.
Great stuff Cookie.
I've just seen the Cook run-out on YouTube. They have it on as "funny", and they're dead right - he must be kicking himself.
Have a watch if you get chance.
England 207 in front
India 122 for 6
Looks like an England win to me.
India 217-9 (lead by 10)
Ashwin's excellent performance with the bat for India means we need another day to finish it or hopefully part of a day. Well done England though today
Test batting average of over 46 (65+ for 2010-11) with a highest score of 235 and 16 centuries in total shows he's done something right though to be fair 2012 form hasn't been particularly good.Quote:

A bit of a shaky start in England's first innings. Steady the buffs!
Got to agree with you Stagger. Despite the fact that in the last test match he held his nerve, in general I think he is not the man if England are in a sticky situation. If it's 300-3 he'll probably score a hundred but I knew that as soon as Trott was out this morning and things were looking a bit dicey, Bell wouldn't hang around for long.
Will the young Yorkshire lad Joe Root save our bacon in this innings. He has made a good start England 133-4 at tea.
I've always liked Bell and think when he's in good touch he's the England batsman I'd most like to watch apart from KP.
That said, he does have a tendancy to let the pressure get to him in tough situations and his test batting average is boosted by big runs against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka (though good luck finding a top bastman whose averages aren't improved by big runs against lesser teams). However, you've got to remember he's been part of one the best ever eras for English cricket, is a good fielder and has test centuries against every test nation (quite rare) and averages 40+ in tests against India, Pakistan, South Africa and the Windies (32 against Australia). Not too shabby.
I see that as reinforcing my view. He's been part of a good team so over the last few years often he has come to the crease with England in a strong position and the pressure has been less. But if England have had a faltering start I never expect him to tough it out for long.
I don't know, maybe I'm being unfair. It's only my perception and I don't have any facts to back it up. You're right to say that when he is on song, his stroke play is very watchable.
Rooty is out England 302-8. Good innings by the Yorkshire lad
Jimmy has got the Little Master :w00t:
Some steady batting from India today with Dhoni pushing himself up the order. India are putting themselves in a position for a 1st innings lead.
227-4 at tea.
At last an Indian wicket  269-5
Brilliant run out by Cook! Dhoni out on 99. 295-7
