Can't move. Must watch...
Oh wait... better go to work
Not much happening today...Is every one watching the olympics or at Borrowdale?
Working on the Olympics
It's all very very highly technical ...
Tech Op 1 "This sheet says beach volleyball, but it isn't. It's gymnastics and they are VERY different.... I mean, one is on a beach and one isn't for a start..."
Tech Op 2 "Wellll, they aren't that different - you can do gymnastics on the beach, surely???"
Tech Op 1 "No way! Have you ever tried to do a cart wheel on a beach - no chance.."
Less technical discussion resumes about line feeds, file transfers and connectivity resumes...

Just got home from work... Forgot to feed the cats yesterday lunchtime before I left for work - OOPS! :o
Wonder how long until I am forgiven? :closed:
The cat will forget what it's doing for a moment (during which time the fly will disappear out the window). Then the cat will continue to watch the last spot it saw the fly in for the next half an hour :D
Our cats attention span is -1 second, unless it involves a piece of cheese or a little bit of tuna.
Interview tomorrow Attachment 6330
"Relax
In general people find interviews extremely stressful. The old adage goes that you should imagine your interviewer naked, but sometimes this can be counter effective! The best thing you can do is to take the pressure off yourself; look at the interview as an adventure and remember that you are likely to learn something new and useful, even if you aren’t selected.":D
Ewwww I don't want to imagine them naked :D
I just need to talk techno babble and I am sure it will be fine. Roll on tomorrow night when I am at a wedding reception. It will all be forgotten after a few champagnes ;)
very quiet for a Saturday night - I'm off to bed.
A bit thundery at the moment.
Still about 35 degrees out here ;)
Rain!! Not sure I'm going for my little walk...
I did go after all! It keeps the metabolism high I believe.
Next stop is hangover in the morning..............
FROST! FROST ON MY CAR THIS MORNING  And I'm talking proper frost too - scraper required - not brush away with the windscreen wipers type frost!
It's August still (isn't it??? Or have I lost a month??)
Doing a bit of cementing of cracks on the path round the garden today finishing off some earlier work I had done. Last time I did it I ended up with cat paw prints all over it so I have covered it this time. I was wondering though whose cat arrived home with concrete overshoes :D
Not your cat then Alf?
Nope:D I inverted him and his pads were clean plus he is far too fastidious to dip his paws into concrete. I have just been out and the plastic was off and I have 4 paw prints and one is right in the middle of the cement and quite deep, in fact it must have gone in up to its knee on that one! Next doors cat is a bit of a tubster so I suspect he is the culprit! I have covered it with a board with some rocks on now so it shouldn't be able to shift that :D

RRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! :w00t:
Shhhh :closed:
Shhhhhh ... It's tooo noisy. I am just going to have a little sleeep at my desk
Remind me to not to get the train to work at the weekend again. It's full of idiots and noisy ones at that!
I much prefer sleepy commuters.
Is been QAH as the washing machine broke down on Saturday and just got it fixed today
When the engineer arrived he asked me what the problem was so I told him the error code and helpfully added I had looked it up on the official website and it said "Program Selector Error". He then said that was the wrong meaning for that code and they never divulged the real meanings for the codes as they would have people fixing their own problems and doing them out of a job ! He said it was a "door lock selection error" and fixed it pretty rapidly. I know he was telling the truth as he left the parts behind and you could see where they were burnt out. We got the machine with a one year manufacturers guarantee and the vendor John Lewis threw in an extra year's guarantee so it didn't cost us owt. I will be taking out a further policy though as he said it would have cost me over a £100 for a callout plus the price of the parts .
My boiler stopped working last weekend, just as temperatures dropped to around freezing :w00t:
The plumber had a look at it, it is the thermostat... Not the boiler, phew! Bought a new thermostat on 't internet whihc has just arrived and handed it to the plumber who is going to fit it at some point today, once he has finished his job here at work. Hopefully he won't charge me for 3 call outs, as he has been to look at it twice already :)
I was called out to fix a customers computer yesterday.... I blame them as they really need to stop relying on 15 year old servers! :w00t:
We gaffer taped it back together with bits of scrap that we found lying around the office.
I think we need a "Today's Domestic Appliance Problem" thread :D
Spotted those Advent Calendars with choccies in at Morrisons today. Christmas is coming :w00t:
I saw some mince pies too Alf.
I am not sure about this... I love mince pies, but if I start eating them now, it'll take me until Xmas 2013 to lose the mince pie weight. :closed:
I had a lovely pm from the legend that is Al Fowlup when I logged on. Bloody great it was!
Just wondering which race I should do first? Nothing too hard..
Not done a fell race for over 2 years. Not done any other sort of race for over a year.
IDP inspired me to start looking yesterday.
