3m to work, 4m home, hot, straight into river in Ripponden:cool:
Yesterday afternoon, me and my eldest daughter, an extremely hot and sticky (sweaty as a pig on a stick in fact as we say in our house) 5 mile run up in the hills followed by a fabulous dip in the Ribble at Stainforth. The correct method of entry :D:

Shame it was misty because i think the photos would have been pretty nice.
I gave up taking pics after we crossed Nan Bield Pass - both because i was sick of taking my camera of out my bumbag all the time ....and also thats when the rain started.
Cracking run that, the climb at the start is abit of a lung burster (wasnt it DT ;)).....then on the way out its pretty up and down and abit rocky, and once you've got to High Street the path down to Nan Bield Pass is a nice runnable stretch.
The clouds came in just after we summited Kentmere Pike and we had a brief patch of nasty visability and my glasses seemed to be like i was wearing blinkers because of the rain and them steaming up
Cheers for the lift DT, my quads are aching now.:D
Perfect day really!
Gentle 30mins out today (before swimming) as a recovery from yesterdays 3 x 1mile, ~500ft hill reps in the agonising heat. :( Afterwards, a Nuun tab then off to the local village fete ('Hepworth Feast'), no problem. :)
