From work??? I need to keep my job til at least the end of this week!
Why what's happening next week dom? :)
Just been for a jog (cant really call it a run :o ) to get my legs moving again after Sunday's Yorky Marathon so have taken a late lunch with the cat who has just woken up at the sound of me rattling plates in the kitchen.
Made blackberry Jam this morning and some Rowenberry and crab apple jelly.
Now I'm just sat here finishing off the Navigation article for the fell runner...part two!
3 hours at a keyboard is driving me mad.
Been a bit QAH! ;)
Somewhat of an interregnum! But at least all our old threads have been kept...not like last time.
Phew, feel whole again now. During the radio silence, my ankle has been recovering. Up and running soon I hope.
Sshshshhhhhh It's been so peaceful :p
Well where's everyone been for their holiday then?
Pffft! Bad timing for the forum to be down... I don't have a lot to do whilst feeding a greedy (slightly sad looking) little zebra!
OHW, he's lovely and looks just like his mum
Christmas choccies spotted in Morrissons this morning - not long now
On a ferry in the North Sea until 7.30am.
I have a bottle of Laphroig.
There's a lot of swaying.
What are the odds on vomiting before the night is out?
Papil, this place is very quiet.
Noisy Shetland Ponies just out back though. I suspect they can spot a snack bearing tourist at 500m.
Noisy round here... since about 5am
Give WOH a squidge from us please OHW ;)
Will do DT ;)
I think he will be as tall as you by the time he starts school - he's mega tall already
Well, I'm amused at the man exercising the Shetland Ponies. He's like that Mexican Dog fella with the pack obediently following.
They all look very happy.
I'm quite partial to this little island. Here http://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/HU3630
I'd quite happily spend the whole week here engaging in disengaging. Just going out for 6 mile runs along the cliffs or across the tombolo and round the island.
Reading, running, eating. Done.
Is it me or has the forum been quiet since it's return. Have members decided to go do something strange like go for a run?
Where's Danbert? where are the great debates. if it wasn't for the new safety rules and what's waterproof it would be really quiet.
You could always start posting stuff!
Please don't leave me here on my own :(
There's an element of truth to this DT and, for sure, the shut down didn't help. The trouble with the forum, as has been said before, is that facebook and twitter are taking its place and to a degree are much more user friendly. 80% of my f/b 'friends' are fell runners/outdoor hill billies and, although I'm no great twitter buff, its about 80% there too. With f/b and twitter you get brief (please note Alwaysinjured ;) ) and by and largely positive burps :) of what everybody is up to - there's rarely any arguing the toss going on and, yeah there's a whole bunch of inane crap too but its really easy to ignore. The forum on the other hand reminds me of the Monty Python argument sketch at times.
All the same the forum provides a fantastic archive of really useful stuff and, oooh, at least 51% of its regular users aren't completely insane ;)
Its getting hot in here, so hot, so take off all your clothes. I am, getting so hot, I wanna' take my clothes off.
Oh aye, is this the censored version of what you did on your run?Quote:
largely positive burps
Wow! heck of a hailstorm shower just now. I thought it was going to take the windows out for a minute!
Quiet and recently got a bit quieter still. Sad news
