Thanks for sharing that one with us Hes. I found it very poignant

After all the recent tragic, sorrowful, love forlorn, love shared and borderline sex in the raw poems :D on this thread recently, I think things need changing up a gear.
Me and my eldest daughter, who's at uni at the minute, share the same purile and warped sense of humour and our emails to each other include all sorts of shared expressions and quotes that nobody else in their right mind would either begin to understand or get. The wilderness explorer motto (from the film Up) is often our sign off (Caw, caw, rawr!) - you have to do it properly with the hand and face movements though - or quotes from Mushu, the little dragon in the film Mulan; "What's wrong, haven't you ever seen a black and white before" will have us rolling around chortleling. Any way this song, which for the purposes of this post, I'm calling a poem is another stolly and daughter cracker upperer (sung to the spiderman tune).
Spider pig Spider pig
Does whatever a Spiderpig does
Does he fly, with a web,
No he doesnt, hes a pig.....
:D :D
The Simpsons at its best

thats a cute little story to share...it made me laugh so thank you stolly!...i have been sharing some daft michael rosen poems with my eldest daughter (now 6) will post later when i get a chance! (i haven't yet introduced her to the simpsons but you have reminded me that might be a very good idea, oh and monty python too !)
Thanks Freckle and Mossy and Alf too. It was by my own fair hand but it was the quickest poem to write...just clicked 'post reply' typed it off the top of my head and posted. I was inspired by the previous posts. Wish it was always so easy!;)
I reckon we've all experienced the 'smell' thing.
Stolly...loved your post! I can imagine the laughs you must have with your daughter, that's lovely!:D
I have road tested this on a near four year old and she thinks its real funny when accompanied by tickles of course...
Master Pickle
There was a young boy,
by the name of Master Pickle
and he enjoyed a right good tickle, (TICKLE)
a tickle here, (TICKLE)
a tickle there, (TICKLE)
a tickle almost everywhere, (TICKLE)
a tickle high (TICKLE) a tickle low (TICKLE)
he even liked a tickle in the snow (TICKLE),
so if one day you are feeling blue,
take a lesson or two,
from Master Pickle,
have a right good tickle! (TICKLE X 10)
Oh aye...next stop poet laurete for sure!
this is another winner....
