Not me Ian
No me neither.
S'quiet everywhere. I put up a basically unused Garmin GPS on sales/wants. Free except for a donation to Daz's JG page...no takers!
Shocking Wheeze
There has been some very good posts in the Kilian Jornet BG thread. It's actually made me LOL which apparently means laugh out loud.
For a good while I thought LOL meant lots of love. I got a text from a former colleague once and wondered why they put lots of love three times in a short message
Funeral is next week. LOL isn't a phrase you see every day!
This appears to be a problem, when old folk's start coping/stealing the kids habits and way's.
Just get old gracefully and write what you mean
Yeah, well sick innit stagger me ole mucker!
I remember walking to the phone box with a couple of 2p's to have a chat.
Bubble and squeak was better than microwave food.
People spoke to each other (called a discussion) instead of just starring at a phone.
You used your encyclopedia or the library because there was no tinter'net.
You got off your arse to turn the TV on to another channel (and you only had 4 to pick from, or the off button.
You got paid at the end of a week with cash in a little brown envelope.
Them were the days
I can still remember BBC 2, floodlit rugby league on a Tuesday night.
Only in B/W on our tv.
1978 when we got colour
Pounds, shillings and pence, they were the days
Hello, is anyone there???
Yup.
Quiet though!
hear hear
where where ?
Cracking night Full moon and no headtorch required
Q..a..h..
Fair point. A very good friend of mine asked earlier this week why they couldn’t get on the forum
Hi DT,
I think (though I could well be wrong!) that the forum is out of reach for some people because the DNS IPv6 entry for "forum.fellrunner.org.uk" is not set correctly. I emailed Brett about this last week but didn't hear back. Maybe someone could prod him...?
Cheers, Steve
Hi Steve and thanks. From what I understand maintaining the forum is a bit like running a vintage car, or having ancient Walshes held together with bailing twine and shoe goo!
Maybe you just need an old computer like me, horses for courses, i rarely have any trouble. Windows 95 is what you need on the job, any serious fellrunner should be familiar with that OS.
Okay on my new work iPhone
Wreaths? Christmas or funeral?
Trad old school Christmas. Get one
My missus made one one last night at a wreath making ceremony of some type, cost me 30 notes for the privilege, although she did assure me that it would have cost more to buy one, and that a bought one doesn't come with prosecco and nibbles :D
I do think that that longevity wise they're pretty good so I'm planning to get Christmas out of it and then turf it out up the cemetery whilst walking the mutt in the interests of keeping the Christmas bin down a bit
Have you got one yet Trev?
Not yet. I have always seen them as funeral decorations.
Saw some nice ones in the garden centre on Sunday.
Its been a bit patchy Anthony. Some computers have been fussy but my one at home is OK.
Hi All.
I can get on at work but not at home or on my phone.
The kind managers here have said don't bother coming in tomorrow. In terms of costs it is better to give free holidays than open to a few.
VQAH recently. It’s almost like everyone is off work and not posting . . .
err...just me and Harv here....QAH!!
Happy new year to all forumites. Will this still be here for 2019????
Hi all. Got a pair of Walsh's fashion trainer's for Christmas. Is someone trying to tell me something.?
Glad my new phone can pick up the forum. I do miss it.
We missed you too Stagger. Hope you had a good break over Xmas
