Cheers DT. It started off good and just got better.
Best for a long number of years.
Trying to lose a little weight and then back to jogging.
Hope you're ok too?

Great. I’ve done a run last seven days plus a 10 mile walk yesterday. Like you hoping to shed some weight and starting to see (and feel) a difference
Glad to hear you guys are up-beat for the new year. Keep your nerve through dismal january...sunshine is coming!
Only -2 in Leeds this morning. Looking forward to a good day 😊
Thats the spirit!
Stunning day over our way. Very cold out the sun but beautiful and bright
Blooming freezing walking across Birmingham City Centre to the office this morning. But as a tough fellsman I still didn't resort to wearing a coat...
Very clear and bright as the sun was rising, even made the inner-city landscape of Birmingham look quite nice.
Yes, beautiful day and I even managed to get up Beacon Hill at lunchtime to relieve the tedium of marking exam scripts. Visibility not quite as good as on Sunday, but still able to make out the snow-covered Staffordshire Moorland on the north-west horizon. The problem with good visibility on Beacon Hill is that if you look the wrong way, you can see Coventry and Birmingham. :)
Walshes were not the best choice of footwear. Fine where the mud had thawed, but most of it was still frozen.
I’ve been over to Lancaster, then Blackburn today. Visibility was fantastic and the snow topped Lakeland fells looked stunning. I didn’t particularly look for Coventry or Brum
Did you get your passport stamped? We don't allow many foreigners over!
Haha. I made sure I was through Colne well before dark in case of highway men
WD, Standfast then Blackburn Yarn Dyers. Two venerable and well respected textile companies in their respective fields
DT, The Lappet Dye House is a dedicated unit within Standfast. I've only noticed it when using the Millenium Path behind Standfast, along the river bank. They do the dyeing for Lappet Mill at Caldervale, the production director at Lappet Mill is a Bowland member.
I know Lappets WD. Interesting business
9 degrees and sunny. Spring yet?
Lighter in the mornings, and lighter coming home. Still cold though, was snowing in B'ham yesterday.
Yes, I like February, with the longer daylight hours making it feel like we are coming out of Winter, even if it is still cold.
Only six weeks to get fit for this year's Rivington Pike race, Stagger! It may not solve the big problems in your life, but getting out running will make you feel better.
On the lucky days I get in a reasonable time it’s still quite light. Sunset is after 5pm. There’s definitely a feel of spring about
Absolutely bitter again in Birmingham. I walk a mile from New Street to my office and I was positively frozen when I got to the office.
But it's a gorgeous morning and very clear. Affording superb views of the Birmingham Ring Road and the building-site that is the Aston University/Millenium Point area. Unfortunately the sun absolutely hammers in through the window in the afternoon and i'll have to shut the blinds and do some work.
Not quiet here!
Well we are working like little beavers at the RTS household. Post Litton Christmas Cracker last minute preparations. I contacted Andy "FRA fixtures make it happen chap" just yesterday with a plea for help. Our usual Marshal coordinator is unable to make the race on Sunday so I've been frantically trying to sort it. I asked Andy, if MrRTS could be the named RO instead of me that way I can just get on with it and do it myself, and go out on the course making sure all is ok. I really thought it was far too short notice. I was getting a bit stressed haha and I really do not do stress.
Within 30 minutes MrRTS had filled in a new FRA Fell Race Licence sent by Andy, the new Licence was issued, printed off and placed on the race board.
This is why the FRA is brilliant. Thank you so much Andy. You are a star. Our race would not be able to run without the help and expertise of the FRA. Hip Hip hurrah for them. :-)
Well done to you and your family. Just done it once and it was Brilliant race and cracking do in the pub after.
Great effort by FRA in helping you all out.
Enjoy 😁
Quietly girding my loins for a supreme effort at the last race in the South Wales Winter League. I need to run out of my skin!
Just had a good couple hours at Saltaire beer festival.
This was prior to half gallon in Fannys.
Great evening 👍
I was there Thursday night, great do.
Only disappointment was the Wurlitzer organ was poorly and didn't make an appearance
How do. Just having a mooch around. It has been a while. Is the master’s lounge still serving a fine selection of single malts?
Hey Rodders. Good to have you back mooching
Today it changes👍
Sunrise & sunset are in the positive of more day light than darkness.
Nice and bright today with the covering of snow.
Cracking sunny day, got some gardening done😊
Rodders, The Masters Lounge got bought out by Weatherspoons so lawd only knows what they are serving in there now!
Not sure where we could hang out but I did hear there was a nice Vegan Pie caff opened up around the corner.
Since Stagger is unemployed as the Masters Lounge bouncer maybe he could scope out a new home for us??
What about 2007 Club?
Where old friends can be remembered and toasted on a regular basis?
Nice one!
Wonder how many Jan 2007 join daters are still active?
Can't see how to do that from the member list.
Me too!
Here's a test for all true early forumites.
What was the culinary item that caused the first forum meltdown??
That would be gravy with Oxo, Bisto, Gravymuncher and Road Runner!
Yep i too was on the old forum.
Remember the gravy mile in record time.
I've still got a:-
