Excellent cantering The Master and Mrs Crumblydown. A big well done to you both xxx:cool:
the master had iluminous socks on:eek::eek: for his bg
It has been an honour to support two fine Ponies around the BG this weekend.
LONG LIVE THE PONIES:cool:
Well Well Well.
What a weekend.
I have now been involved in over ten BG'S, nothing special about G&G in that way i mean, that there level of fitness was not in question, i know them both well enough to be sure of there mental state before they started, so was very confident that they would finish, the thing that amazed me was the number of people at the end i have never seen so many, the whole F-ing square was full of people, some for daz Marv but it was like a burnley away match:eek: for fell ponies! ever coulor of vest was there Black, white and the new pink !!
As ml says LLTP and i think they will!
Too tired to type much and so many people to thank it would be like a dreadful TV awards ceremony;)
We had that many supporters that we could afford to have some of them simply employed to take the piss and abuse us all the way round:D They werent all Ponies either, i counted people from Staffs Moorlands, Radcliffe, Rossendale, Todmorden, Rochdale, Middleton, Saddleworth and Durham (plus 3 coachloads of Ponies too)
Met some great people this weekend which more than makes up for being unable to get off the toilet unaided at the moment. Thanks to you all!
No , tonight I think you are THE MASTER
but Yoda and his many You Tube videos are very popular in our house at 6am in the morning.
Obviously the force was with you.:D
Well done indeed , good work sir!
well done those ponies.....:D:D:D:D
Very Well Done to the Master and Mrs C!!
I assume you are both very proud of your achievement, and are basking in it's rosy glow?
(and blimey, if Fleeter doesn't fancy a BG, I might as well forget about it right now!)
Sales go through the roof or hoof
After the launch of the new pink vest last week sales have far exceeded our expectation.
On this batch only one vest remains this is a medium first to shout will be the owner.
Oh how good they look:p
fleeter pls contact re payment
Master pls contact re payment
Ive a couple of white vests left if anyones looking.
AMEX< I had your vest with me on Saturday but like a numpty I forgot to give it to you........it was the same size as you'd ordered in the pink though......whats a boy to do?
Apologies.....I'm a numpty......
What a splendid advertising feature for the PONIES at the weekend.....didn't GEORGE AND GERRY do us all proud.........in fact, didn't the whole support crew do us proud.......thanks to all the navigators and support crew, not least to Crumblydown for the meticulous planning and support....
HAS THERE EVER BEEN A RECEPTION IN KESWICK LIKE THAT? THE NOISE!!!!! Speaks volumes for those involved.
There were a hell of a lot of proud faces in KESWICK on Saturday evening......and well done to Darren and Andy too for splendid completions.....
First phone call I had was actually from ANTISOCIAL.....he broke down in tears proclaiming:
"I love you guys, I love the ponies, I want to be a pony, I pretend I'm a pony at home....I drink out of a trough and everything......."
If that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what does.

:D:D:D Fantastic!! i bet that gets a reaction
What an experience and what better reason to wear your Pony colours (whatever the colour) with pride! It was great to meet so many Ponies and forumites.
Gerry and George played and blinder, and Mr. C.... your organisation and preparation was superb... slicker than an eels slickest parts.
As a BG virgin, the whole day was a hugely enjoyable adventure. I didn't think I'd be up to doing Leg 5 as well as Leg 2, but felt good after a fry up in the morning and thought,
"Well I'm here now and will regret it if I don't"
And am I glad I did... the atmosphere was buoyant to say the least and after poor weather earlier, the views across to Keswick and beyond were gorgeous.
Ok, so I turned my glass ankle a couple of times and belted my (now well bruised) knee on a rock getting a bit clumsy coming down off Robinson, but it was pretty trivial.
Seeing Nee Bother scree running was a reet spectacle...
The sights, sounds, company and atmosphere were awesome. That reception in Keswick took my breath away.:D
I have the taste for more of it, but don't know when or how... getting the time to go up and get involved again won't be easy, but I'll up for it when the opportunity arises.
Gerry, George and Derek, you're the stars and the supporting cast was well impressive. Well done to everyone... the comaraderie, atmosphere and acheivement has left this Fell Donkey with a grin from ear to ear!:D
well done everyone, sounds great :D
Can't wait till the next one..................
who's it gonna be..............................
Sounds like DJ and Moontain Goatee are up for next year (if we can drag em out the pub:D)
Ha ha LR, great report. And those are exactly the legs I helped on the previous weekend, and I had the fry-up inbetween as well:D I know what you mean about Leg 5, that sense of mixed relief (but you're not there yet!) and expectation going up Dale Head is HUGE!!
Well done everyone this weekend. I knew Daz would do it, no problem! Fantastic stuff Marvin to get up Broad Stand!! I hope you'll come on here at some point and share your thoughts as you climbed up there:p
To those who didn't manage to complete, well done for giving it a go, hope you're encouraged to give it another go and things go right for you then.
Oh, and on the subject of Antisocial, I was having a quick flick through the "Hebden Bridge Times" whilst we were up there house-hunting over the weekend.....and whose face should be staring out from the pages?
Couldn't tell if he was wearing a Fell Ponies vest, it was a black & white photo ;)
That Amex bodgy is a canny lad n arl (ta for the pint in Keswick marra:D)
Amex is a one-off special, im proud to know him and my wife cant fight his magic either:cool: Watch out for a photo of him on the Pony website later on....ive got another handful to post when i can tear myself out of my deckchair for long enough.
Ive also been trying to think of ways to pay you back for that heroic cup of tea you surprised us with on Fairfield NB...still cant get over that but then again, you wear a funny white hat too:D
Crikey, I wish I had been there last weekend:( The Master may have had luminous socks but Merrylegs, your luminous tits were something else:eek::eek:
