Years ago my old fella used to slap on that Nivea oil in a brown bottle, I think it was coconut scented chip fat, he’d then slowly roast for a fortnight on his hols, still going strong at close to 81 :D

Had my two nephews round at the weekend... the little one only 2 and a half weeks old so didn’t say much!
1st nephew played football, read Mr Sneeze, taught him about the deserts and showed him the little bottle of “Sahara desert sand” which I picked up a few years ago In Fuerteventura for him...
He repaid me for all that by telling me that I needed to get my hair cut...
Off to Lakes on Saturday for a week to hopefully complete the Wainwrights...

My feet are probably still going to be soaked from the day before... I’m planning to link up my two remaining Central Fells (Raven Crag and Pavey Ark) with a monster ridge run down the very wet central ridge, then over Blea Rigg and Loughrigg down to Ambleside...

Had the nephew round today.... playing Connect4.... myself&nephew vs his dad. We lost the first two, and he really doesn’t like losing (takes after his dad)... so he went and sat on his dad’s side and said “now I’ve won two”...

Had to visit Wilmslow, Prestbury and Mottram St Andrew this morning. There seemed to be a lot of orange faced women about.

How can wrapping a few presents be so stressful.... every year I make an absolute pig’s ear of it... glitter everywhere, sellotape in my teeth... blood... swearing...
