Harpurhey? I think there was a song about that place by King Of The Slums called 'Bombs Away on Harpurhey.'

7 miles of intervals. Didnt feel as good as last week.
2x2mile. Ran inside of 5:30 pace (just).
Then
3x5minutes around a 3mile circuit with the final 5mins continuing (to 6.5mins) to get me to the end of the 3miles.
Time -16.29. This was very hard to do after the 2x2.
Legs are hurting now - wish I'd managed this session earlier as I ve only got tomorrow to recover for the Duathlon on Saturday.
Got to think about the big picture though.
AM - 3 minutes hard to catch a train
PM - 7 miles with a 5 mile threshold run in the middle.
Why was the morning session so much harder...?
An hours spinning class yesterday
this morning - gym session
10 minute warm up on the bike
5km on the treadmill in 24 minutes - proving I am Carp at running at really need to get better and work on that speed for sure:(
2000m row in 8 minutes - quite pleased with that as straight off the back of that rubbish run
:( work early today
Ran for the first time for 5 weeks yesterday, 2 miles on the treadmill :)
Half Tour of Pendle on Saturday followed by 3ΒΌ hours yesterday from Roddlesworth Visitor Centre:
Through Roddlesworth woods, up Great Hill, across to Winter Hill, round the Trig Point, down to Belmont, round the reservoir, over Darwen Moor to the Tower and down Aggie's Staircase. Very tired by finish but should have set me up for 5 hours round the Edale Skyline next Sunday.
Only bad news was that by the time I got back to Vaughn's Cafe at the Visitor Centre he'd turned the ovens off so I didn't get my all-day breakfast. Had to make do with a toastie.:(
Gosh you make me feel tired! I did Half Tour on sat, rested sun and have just done half an hour gentle pootle round the park this morning. Are you planning to ease down before the big race Swoop? Taking it easy and stocking up on the old carbos?
