Undulating 5 mile road run, 6'40" pace. Longish bike in the morning.....hope that wind drops!
5 mile run early this morning around Pex Hill on the trail paths and XC route.
An hour on Danefield & Otley Chevin (about 6.5 miles) - had a slight breather when a club-mate and family came walking down one of the steeper track - well it would've been rude not to stop for a quick natter although I perhaps wouldn't have been so keen if I was descending and they were ascending!!!
Yes was fun but very windy and was blown about a bit. Glad we were not in the lakes as planned as I would not have fancied it on top of Scafell.
Managed to have a quick trot round Roundhay Park afterwards watching the XC and fixed my mountain bike and all set for a nice 5 hour adventure race tomorrow. There are a fair few fell runners in the line up for this one.
Anyone ran round Dalby Forest before? Wondering what shoes may be best?
I'm looking forward to tomorrow Swoop - think there could be a bit of forum interest near the back!
spent all day fiddleing about with my new i pod, quite stressed now, need a beer
how do you import full albums into i tunes without having to do it 1 track at a time or putting all the info directly into i tunes yourself?
Been practicsing me Ted Mason (Wharfedale) face all day for tomorrow. Does this guy put everything into his running or what. Wife's been helping by asking me to do things for her. Face is now twisted in agony:eek: Dunt make me go any faster though:mad:
lovely run over eilio, played football pm, broke arm, in pot to arm pit, bugger!
Had hoped to run at Stanbury today but due to some family and work commitments unable to. So got out at 8am and did a steady 10 mile around the trail paths and XC route of Pex Hill.
been for a run AND a bike ride today
MUST NOT FORGET TO TAKE TRAINERS TOMORROW
86 miles & 4000' on the bike today at just under 18 average. Quite tough, especially a 40 minute session on the front with our club TT champion who was rushing home to get to a do
7 Mile at 7.00 min mile pace, nice and dry
Walking today - 12.2 miles from Harden to Leeming Res/Oxenhope on Millenium Way -back via Worth Way & Harden Moor (ex-Bunny run venue) then down into Brown Cow at Bingley for a TT Dark Mild.
5 miles loping along the levee by the Nidd near Tockwith. Floods all around and a bright day. Dog off the lead. No hills but plenty of mud. Now my other calf is playing up. I wonder if it's the new Asics shoes I got in a sale. Felt better in the Mudrocs.

Glad it all went well, they are nearly back, first time up there for both and they seem in remarkably good spirits for 5 hrs on Bleaklow, :-)
I managed 6.6 miles up to Pen y Pass and back with my new waterproof cast cover, felt OK just worried how much this cast is going to stink after 6 weeks.
Anyway thanks for going out with them today, both had a good day.
Andi - can sympathize at the moment. Running is now done at work in between naps in the lab where I can lock the doors!! Ben's 4 weeks today and past few nights he has been sleeping 5 hours straight from 1ish to 6am. That's made it much easier.
Have to admit, canals are a bit boring out of Manchester and round the roads, more abuse than .... well .... not when there's sensitive women like JJ present
5 this morning, steady run over undulating roads (I have been told off by friends from Cheshire about my use of the word undulating, but I lived in Rammy and now the Trossachs so hilly means something very different) very wet but was this a glimmer of light on a morning run?!
Club speed /hills session on the roads in the west end of Glasgow past houses and cars I will never get near affording. Felt good, worked hard, sore stomach by end.
