I wish we were snowed in - I did notice on the website that the cottage we stayed in, is not booked for this week!

There's at least 3 millimetres of thick snow (slush) here now, with only a few signs that it's slowing... If any senior managers happen to be on the FRA forum reading this, send us home for the love of god!
Nothing here - good.
Replaced my wellies today, so off for a walk in the white stuff with both dogs tomorrow a.m, then maybe a run in same via torchlight tomorrow night. Lots of snow Harrygate way, a fair dusting up on the moors around Silsden - marvellous. It's about now that I thank God I have a landy, makes the trip to work a lot easier!
How do people run in deep snow though? Surely, owt over about two inches will see you tripping over unseen rocks and stuff?
A fair few inches across Outlane and Scammonden last night. Should make for better running tonight. It was a bit icy last night and I ended up going over on an uneven bit of the Kirklees Way (Turley Coates Lane) through Lindley Moor, and popping my shoulder out. Popped it back in, bit sore today, but I'm looking forward to deeper snow tonight, with "softer" landings!
Stokesley in North Yorkshire. Started wednesday last week. Has been almost continuous since. Have lost count of the number of times I've had to dig the car out.
Just watch the press coverage increase as it heads towards London.
PS What is a refuge collector? Do they collect shelters?
Significant amounts of snow up here in Aberdeen! Sat on the plane at Birmingham Airport for nearly two hours before we took off. Airport had been shut here for much of the day.
yet more snow here...the novelty is wearing a bit thin now I have to confess....i really wouldn't be bothered if I didn't have to go to work tomorrow in such dodgy conditions, well things could be worse, if I orginated from another part of the country I might actually have to wear a coat, but none of that soft stuff up here....

Attachment 4223As Freckle & Deadlegs sez....we've had it since Wednesday here, enjoyed 1st couple of days but need to get to work and its sleeting down again as I type!!
That's the bit I don't like. Spoke to my mate earlier - she'd been sat in none moving traffic for an hour and a half, while her husband was sat in a cold car waiting for her with their 2 year old, because another car had ploughed into his!
Doesn't seem to have affected my journeys today, other than the mile at each end I do on foot - I was slipping all over the place!
