Re: Snowdon International Race
[QUOTE=ChevinbyTorchlight;311931 We had the food a few years ago when it was a tenner extra (race fee was a lot less then) and it was a good old chow down.

That must have been just before the year Egon Ronay left the Vic as head chef as food since has been pretty much unpalatable since!

So we can't expect a deluxe gourmet spread then? It's no good walking in after the race and demanding
"We want the finest wines available to humanity. And we want them here, and we want them now!" ??

Egon spent 3 years at the Vic creating some of the best food known to man, he took the Vic from a 2 star standard eaterie to a 5 star gold guide award venue, by now I believe it's back down to the 2 star?
Re: Snowdon International Race
Better than no star at all, I guess.
I suppose I'll just have to focus on the run rather the nosh. Be a change. ;)

Got to be careful these days, people have less money, yet prices seem to go up :/
Once you tot up your petrol, supplies, accomodation (if staying due to distance), plus race entry....it soon mounts up!

Aye its a quality place, will be down there for a few days this summer no doubt :)
Deffo will be doing something incorporating Snowdon.
Did a nice 17 miler in the summer, park at Tryfan, do that, then all the Glyders in a horse shoe, was quality, loads of scambling, 'oh crap, might die' if I don't hold on moments ^_^
