Marco, I can't do those sorts of distances. My knees are clapped out at about 10.
50m on the bike today, craven arms and back. Chilly headwind on the way back, medial knee soreness kicked in at about 30m, not been out on the bike for a while.

This resting business has hit my calves, the 5m jog with Horsforth Harriers on tuesday is still very fresh so no session tonight. I need to ease myself back into the cycling anyway, the way fuel prices are going i might have no option.
Parkrun this morning, 21.03, much better run though quite slow. Built into it without fading at all really, good consistency of pace.
50m ride to the craven arms and back today, nice weather and I was joined by Ted Mason for a short leg on the way back. Ted got flooded a bit recently, but everything is fine now, and he's carrying a slight hip injury. He has made a very good recovery from his crash.
Bit of training tonight, tarmac again, can't wait to get back into the woods.
Tinshill Lane rep, 1x 0.7m/240', 4.45
Carr Bridge Drive reps, 4x 0.25m/110', 1.53, 1.52, 1.49, 1.54
I'm trying for more consistency in the reps.
Parkrun this morning, 21.28. Faded badly on the third lap, my legs felt really heavy and tired, it's the fatigue thing again. Funny how i ran way faster last week by starting steadier.
Strid wood timed run today, 5m/650', up on the Storiths side and down the pavillion side on the top path. 34.59 was the time, which is, in a word, slow. I crossed barden bridge at 16.45, so ran a slight positive split, but my legs died with about a mile to go, i felt them fatigue and just drop dead. I ran as much of the route as possible on 2 step breathing, 2 steps in, 2 steps out, to keep it under control.
I did a track session yesterday and the wind was noticeable. Never really worry about wind etc due to running on the fells for most races. But doing timed track work you really notice the difference when its a strong wind down the back straight!
