i can't believe they have cancelled mythomeroyd for the relay.

Clashes with Pendle Clough's on the Saturday, and i know which race i'd rather do (no way I'd be up for both, even if i had the legs for it)

personaly i can't see why they want to still run it 6 months later.

Fair play to them trying to put it back on. Great news. Legs might have recovered from the VLM just in time! I am personally looking forward to it. With it being summer (Well summerish) could the weather be better and result in fast leg times and maybe even a record team time?
Could a club become the first club ever to win it twice in a year?
Looking forward to it already.

Which Club will that be Andi?
It'll be good to see it run but can't see how a record could be recorded as the conditions would be hugely different.

I reckon it should be run on the same weekend as the VLM, that would give some fell clubs a chance.....;)

Pendle Cloughs (7th May) is a counter in the Area Fell race Grand Prix involving Rochdale Harriers & A.C., Rossendale Harriers, Radcliffe A.C., Middleton Harriers, Saddleworth Runners and Astley & Tyldesley Roadrunners.

Also the Hawkeshead Trail race is on the 7th May. Quite a few have signed up for that.

Also, although not affecting the purist fell runners, the Leeds and Sheffield Half marathons are both on the 8th May (why they put two of the half dozen road HMs in Yorks on the same day, I'll never understand).

I suspect that there may be quite a few signing up for one of these, which will also affect clubs' ability to raise teams.
