My usual 5 mile jaunt around the local hills. Super wet under foot as always.
After having a few bugs over the past few weeks and missing out on LOTS of running, I decided to force myself out today feeling rather weak and in low spirits. :(
My it was windy on NYM....I kept getting blown off the track.
So, today, I invented a new sport called Backwards Joggling! I have perfected the art of it! :D
Windy, raining, cloudy, bally freezing, jelly legs, grumpy! Did I enjoy it? No actually I didn't and could have cried when I got back to the carpark to see that my hubby was late to pick me up!
But anyhow.....as soon as I dipped myself into that hot bath it all seemed so much better....glad I went....need to do it more....my fitness is atrocious!
Still....a slow 10 miles/3200ft ascent
No training today. Cant move after Tankys. Going to work the remote and open a couple of cans and then dream of Bleaklow!
2/3rds tour of pendle avec one of the pups.
Nice cloudless views today for a change!
Spam + Baked beans on toast when I got back, lovely ^_^
Yes that's very true DT.....don't know why I have to punish myself about how slow I am! Surely the fact that I got out there and did it is enough!
Anyway....5 mile....yes it was on a treadmill today.....but it's that or nothing.....and I did add a few interval joggles at a 10-15% incline! :p
And...it means I've done 15 mile this week and it's only Tuesday! Wopp woop! ;)
I had one of those 'best run ever' runs yesturday.
It was meant to be a nice leg-loosener from saturdays club handicap race.
I set off on my usual 4 miler across the muddy fields and my golly gosh i loved every minute of it.
I forced myself to slow right down and just totter round, took abit of getting used to but i stiwtched off from the fact that i was actually running and took it all in.
I ran through every patch of mud, every puddle and more of less just ran to get as muddy as i could. I even tried running on the slippy bits to fall over and get muddier but it was as if i had ropes on my keeping me up. - then when i stopped concentrating i fell over - accidently - and got covered from head to toe and i endedm up running all thw way home laughing to myself.
If anyone saw me they must have though i'd escaped from the local looney bin.
Carlsburg dont do training runs. but if they did...they'd be the best training run in the world.:D
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVED IT!
