Its a good little race, quick dash up the road on to the fell, then steepens over the first hill (Brown Wardle ?). Quick descent then skirt Middle Hill and a gentler climb to the top at Hades. Then its reversed until you hit the road and go left shortly afterwards to the finish.
Enjoy, I cant make it this year.

Not very often the local Mayor does the countdown to get us on the way at the start of a fell race, thought it was a nice touch. Cracking night for running, well done Ashley Holt on his convincing win. Pretty dry underfoot but I still managed to find a couple of bogs on the extremely well marked course. Thanks to everyone concerned for tonight's race.

I first heard about this race last year when my sister's neighbour said there had been a race on the hill behind a couple of nights ago. I checked when I got home and sure enough there had. I vowed to do it next year and we put it in the new club fell champs. Turns out my brother-in-law knows the RO. So it was nice to see a few familiar faces at the end. Reaching the halfway point and turning back to see the big wind turbines on the horizon bathed in pink twilight, that was beautiful, and planned? I like to think so. Great race. I definitely found the same bog Darren found, looked like an innocent squidgy bit of mud, oh it's a knee deep squidgy bog, lovely.
Out and backs you really do appreciate how good the leaders of the pack are when they come flying past you on the way back down the hill.
Think it was impossible to miss them without adding too much time. And there I was thinking my shoes would be clean to take on holiday! Thanks from me and Neil to all for a great little run out. I think the lady you mentioned is Cllr Eileen Kershaw, a wonderful character and parent of a couple of well known kids
