Just heard about the PBW. There may well be 20 of us in Heptonstall looking for a run on Sunday 5th. Wonder if that Mag7 attempt would appeal? Would mean cancelling the 26th Feb - could be fun though - half the runners in the region will be looking for something to do.
Re: Heptonstall Recce 29th Jan
Don't cancel the 26th Feb Trig. Sarah from Leeds Valley Striders and company are planning to head over (see her posts on the Mag7 - 26th Feb thread). Quite a few runners favoured a Feb run. Selfishly, I don't think I could do such a long 'un this weekend - only 2 weeks to marathon day.

Good point - 26th Feb stays. Changing the recce date was a nightmare. Keep it simple.
Lets just hope PBW is on. Really looking forward to the Mag7. What do you reckon to fast / medium / slow groups??
Re: Heptonstall Recce 29th Jan
Thanks Trig :), looking forward to it (legs willing!). I think the pace groups worked well on the recce run. I'm sure we can get enough people who are familiar enough with the route (or who are skilled enough navigators) to lead 3 different groups out. Should be lots of fun. Meet up for refreshments in the White Lion afterwards?

Mein host will be be stirring a vat of his curry soup.....
If we can't do PBW we will meet there on Sunday 8am then do a 15-20 mile loop over Stoodley taking in all the trigs as far as Blackstone Edge.
Are you up for that???

Think we need 2 new threads.....
Cragg Vale Watershed 5th Feb (PBW plan B)
Heptonstall Recce 4th March (by popular demand)
How many trigs are there on the CVW?
Re: Heptonstall Recce 29th Jan
ooooooooooooh thanks Joey D I appreciate that. What marathon are you running? Yes, indeed, I look forward to Mag7, I do like an off road marathon. S
Re: Heptonstall Recce 29th Jan
Hi Nippersmith. I'm doing the Cotswold (road) Marathon on Feb 19th. Hopefully I'll have recovered enough for the Mag7 the weekend after (!)
