Llantysilio

Hi mate
To be honest conditions in 10 and 11 were perfect to. 2010 was quite hot, but cant remember who i was racing that year??? all I remember is I took the lead early(ish) then so went into a lull of not pushing hard enough as just to keep something in the tank in-case of a fight-back from someone. Same last year I took the lead on the foot of Gamelin then opened the gap and didn't need to push.
This year we had a group of 10 really close to each other up to half way but the front three pulled a gap, then I was chesing them hard all the way to the finish line, and with quality runners behind to it made for a fast time.
True though, when it's hot on the clwyds IT IS hot :-)

Hi all

The beautiful Llantysilio is back yet again and we're looking forward to the usual great weather and excellent banter. Car parking is even more limited this year so could I make a plea for you all to please car share. If you can't, then could you arrive early as you might find you have to walk a little way from up the valley?

Absolutely cracking race. Beautiful weather, bit of snow still on the top of Gamelin.

My thanks to Tattenhall for putting on the event and all the marshalls.

After leaving a very wet Chorley this morning I couldn't believe the lovely blue sky that welcomed me to north Wales. What a beltin race in a picturesque area, thanks to all involved.

Wonderful valley, fantastic views, bloody tough fell race well worth the 200 and odd miles in car the climbs just kept coming.
Many many thanks to all involved in getting the race on.

Great race. Always delivers. Nor can I remember running Llantysilio in anything but sunshine. It marks the end of the Winter season for me. Shame the (aptly named) Sun Inn was closed. I didn't notice the snow on Gamelin mattyh, it must have melted by the time I got there.

We're very proud of our little race. It's as good a six miles of racing you'll find anywhere.

So glad people enjoyed it and the good news is the pub will be back soon. :-)
