No idea, just can't predict ..... but with 4500ft I can't see us exactly skirting the bottom of the Stiperstones, they won't be able to resist sending us up there ;) . All on one OS to the West of Long Myndd (so not up there). Out East to Hope, Priest Weston, up Corndon; some of the Shropshire way????Quote:

Even mate Paul, had a bad day (tummy bug). Throwing his food up and then cramped solid for 10 minutes. I have 'bear with sore head' :mad: syndrome.
Oh Moley. Sorry to hear of your misfortune :( I heard a rumour that you injured your calf. Hope you get well very very soon, and hope to catch you at another LDWA event before too long. (Black Mountains Roundabout? Berwyn Mountain Walk?)
Ah, Moley, that WAS you with the injured calf. We caught up with you coming down the hill just before Todleth(sp?).
Hope it recovers well and you're back out there soon.
Saturday was THE best LDWA event I've done. A cracking route, full of interest across hills I'd not been on before (apart from Corndon). And the catering was top class!!!

Good to see you on Saturday but sad to see you so curtailed by injury. Hope the calf recovers quickly.
Paul did well to complete the event as fast as he did. I suspected all was not well when I overtook him a few miles before the finish; it was only when he finished that I heard what had transpired, presumably after I'd passed him.
I agree with Mr1470, it was a superb event, amazingly dry and with fantastic hotput at the end - many thanks to the WI ladies, and thanks to Marches LDWA for their efficient organisation.
I'm fairly pig sick about it, as I felt really good and was just warming up atfer an hour, but I knew it was a risk as I was carrying the 'niggle' from 2 weeks previously. My fault.
Such a good route as well, really seemed a cracker.
Paul also received little sympathy from his wife - "He's been ill all week, so what does he do on Saturday, runs 25 miles". He was even worse on Sunday.
Women simply don't understand :rolleyes:

If in doubt, RUN. It's usually worth the risk (though not always, unfortunately, in your case this time). As for Paul, it was worth it - he'll be right as rain in a few days.
Calderdale Hike Sat 12th April 37m or 28m. Thinking of doing this as part of Three Peaks training or is it a bit near the date? Is anyone else doing it?
