Was down in Coalville on Monday and was hoping to head home to Wigan via this race but couldn't get out of work early enough.
Will have to see if I can plan a trip down to Coalville for the next one but this time make sure I get out earlier!

am i right in thinking this is jodg ?
Great race last night! My first Trunce and I'm looking forward to doing some more. Highlighted major shortcomings in my road running! Given the conditions I would imagine there were some PBs!
Jules.
Anyone know when the results of this week’s race will be posted?
Will it be when PlumBum returns, or has someone else been left with the task?
Sod’s law that the only time I didn’t have my stopwatch with me no times are posted on the www.
Yay, I'll get an official PB! (I love 1st runs )
Guess I'll definitely be back.... my birthday tomorrow. Just been wondering whether to buy a vest and get my Trunce No printed on the front? :D
JODG told me I had run a fast time, and it felt as thought I had ran a fast time (for me)
I have just checked the results / times from race 8 and cannot believe I knocked over 2 mins off my previous pb:eek::cool:
Just goes to show what a difference that bit of extra training does
Bearing in mind its my first year running and my 1st fell, I'm happy, 38:19
Yep, back on the 7th....
Not just a season PB for me but a best ever PB excellent. no chance now though I've put on 5 lbs whils on holiday:eek: lot's of solo runs until I get fit.
Q. not that I'm trying to do my self out of any points but Jodg is listed as a senior at the Trunce and as a Vet on the DP site. is he trying to keep his age a secret? I think we should be told;):D
*Bump*
No9 2009 on Monday :D
Aiming to be there, tho in normal running gear....
Hoping to do better as at the start of last week I knocked 3.5 mins off my road 10k pb :D But I have subsequently had a week of the Welsh version of a full english along with 3 course evening meals  might have put on a few lbs....
Anyone else planning to be there and anyone planning to go along with the fancy dress tradition? :D
yes we will be there try to beat last years record for the stretcher carry.
40+minutes I think
We will be setting off 30 minutes before every one else though so we don't get in the way at the gate;)
Rescue Ale will be on hand for those with folding beer vouchers
Guess I'm now commited to 'Truncing'
My new vest has
"TRUNCE"printed on the front :D
"2547"
i,ll be there ,first trunce this year for me ha and the last.trying for a pb.
ok......after a looooooong absence from any running(ruptured shoulder ligaments)and a big lump of laziness im coming to the last trunce as my first race of the year, ive decided im gonna come in fancy dress so i can blame my slow time on wearing my costume,i'll be the one in the firefighters gear:eek::eek:
Race 9 results and full results for the season are now on the trunce website http://www.trunce.org
Another top race tonight and end of anoter great season. Thanks to everyone PlunBum, King Snail et al for making it happen and see you in march. Merry Xmas:D
Second time at a Trunce, first time at the last Trunce of the year :D
Great atmosphere, with the stretcher carrying runners and all those in fancy dress. Got to meet and chat with a few more runners as well, tha's a friendly lot aren't ya?
Run times going the right way as well. OK, only 3 seconds, but its still a pb :)
I'll have to keep an eye out, as I'm definitely back as a regular next year :D
Always a favourite and tonight didn't disappoint, just gutted that we've got to wait so long for the next one!
Thanks to everyone involved for another great season! :D
Big thanks to all that make the Trunce the success it is. It would not happen without the multitudes that turn out in all weather to run.
Its a pleasure to be a part of it. :)

Really enjoyed tonight,my first run out for a while,so i decided to run in fancy dress so i could just plod round,i was the firefighter, wow that was hard:eek: Had some great encouraging shouts from spectators...all except one old bloke who just looked at me and said "your not right son"..........made me laugh anyway:D good to see some old faces(Ian and Jodg)and new ones(no vice),thanks to all the organisers for a great little race.
Yep - I've just done the last two and really enjoyed them both. Great course and brilliant effort with the organising. Thanks to everyone involved! Looking forward to next year.
Jules.
good to finally meet No Vice ;) and see the re-emergence of Matt and Tall Paul.
well we went hard with the stretcher and smashed last years time 43.13 sec 7 minutes faster. do we get bonus points PB???
thanks for all the donations to the team I believe it was around £50.
Thanks to every one there and see you next year or those who do the winter series see you soon.
Ian
Would you Adam & Eve it? Managed to run all of the series this year but scuppered meself - got a PB too early on in the season and haven't come close in the last 4 races. :(
Nice to see you all (Datt, NoVice, IDP etc etc) and the re-emergence of Fireman Matt.
Hey Plumbum - any chance of numbered T-shirts then? :p
