Not having much stomach for food, I've had 4 soups in the last 36hrs. All lentil/chickpea based.
I am producing a hell of a lot of gas. Almost worrying.
It must be going round in Tayside, a lad I work with is just back at work after having it, floored him :( expect not to be back running for 2-3 weeks.Quote:

January was my man flu month... but I just about managed to pull through. I carried on running anyway, although I'm not sure it particularly helped speed up the recovery :)

Huh, 40 hours since I last ate. Bit of a concern. Although I can actually think about eating now, which is some sort of progress.
If you've not been eating that doesn't sound like manflu at all. Sounds like something more serious, like plague or ebola. I have had manflu the last few days and frankly it's really peeing me off.
Still haven't eaten. But I do have several prescriptions from the doctor. They also took some blood.
And just for bonus points I have a little plastic vessel into which I must provide a sample.

Big day yesterday. I ate a toasted pitta bread and some glucose tablets, might even go for two pittas today.

Don't make the mistake I did, which was to have some soup. And then take too big a mouthful of soup, it's really quite painful :-D

it's 'said' to act as all those things cos it hasn't been demonstrated to in any effective clinical trials. Silver is an antimicrobial (hence those anti-smell socks you can get), but I'd be more worried, if it's so effective, as to what it is doing to the rest of the useful bacteria that live inside you :)

Ha! One of the side effects of colloidal silver is actually turning your skin blue/grey, esp round the extremities, though I think you've got to be going some for that to happen :)

Do the flu injection work?
Quite a few people need to receive the vaccination to prevent one case of flu - look up NNT - Number Needed to Treat. You just hope you are that one. It is inactivated - dead - so you cannot get flu from it, though at this time of year there are so many bugs around (and probably more importantly collections of symptoms that are attributed to bugs) that many do feel they have got flu from it. I have the vaccination every year. Once I had a slightly sore upper arm - no other side effects.
