Sat night myself, Monkey and Roger Rabbit will be carousing in the Swinside and then I will be sleeping under the slowly dripping barrel of ale, on the floor of the village hall. I therefore have far more important things to do than merely posting on this forum:p
Eek its tonight,
Since Im just returning to fitness it does not matter how I drink really does it:). I may save myself for saturday night though :D
See you at about 8.30
Two pints of Guinness for me and thats it.
can someone please list the forumites
im confused
All fourmites should set off backwards :D
Oh come on Jamie, be fair!! I'm bad enough running forwards - I don't need handicapping any more by running backwards!!
Daz, I think it's easier to list the forumites who aren't running!! Forum photo on the start line at 11-20?
Anyone seen a weather forecast? - a couple of people have told me it's going to snow tomorrow:eek: .
Not sure exactly who is running but:
emmilou
Swoop
huwski
alwaysinjured
GeoffB
Fellrunner
sunnysideup
Daleside
NotOnUrHelly
Hopey
Sarah
Dazh
Mud
Pudgy
? Dominion, Wobblehead, Moo, Whiteabbo
I might be one of the last to finish but am hoping to be in the top half of the field when we reach Robinson. Hope they are doing split times this year!
okay so my plan is to attach myself to geoff b at the bottom of robinson with a rope and let him haul me up
This one should be updated later this evening: Lake District
This one seems to suggest light rain and 100% cloud: Keswick
damm im bound to go wrong again :o
if i got lost at shining cliffs what hope do i have here
GeoffB, they seem to think it's between us  ! Shall we fix it ;) .
Just in case I can't find any paths, given good visibility, can you see Dalehead Tarn from Dalehead?
Mud, did you ever get a lift from Keswick?
No, but you can see Launchy Tarn and heading to the right of that will do.
The right? Really?
It doesn't matter hugely in clear weather, as once you clear the brow Dale Head tarn comes into view.
Just follow Geoff B and Daz ;)
I will hopefully be heading towards Launchy Tarn but that's because I'm going the wimp's way that alwaysinjured showed us. For you fast descenders you should carry straight on at Dale Head and when it starts to drop steeply you will see Dale Head Tarn (if it's clear!)
Thanks Mud.
Who to win the race outright? I don't know many English runners, there's just too many of you, but I recognise Scoffer, Nimrod Lockwood, Jon Broxap & Mark Palmer has been tearing up the hills in South Wales.
Any other potential winners?

PM me please!
Sorry Moo, but I've got a full car already. Hope your pal gets there.
On my way.............................
Already:confused: just sipping my first cup of 'wake me up' coffee:D
see you later guys and gals lets hope this thick cloud that is hovvering over Lancashire as lifted by the time we get to Cumbria:(
did anyone arrange that photo? Dom - you taking your camera;)
An excellent race good to meet so many people from the forum
Them's proper hills.
Despite the fact that I should have been given a handbag & called Cindy for my descents off Dale Head & Cats Bells I got round in 1:46:26. Somewhere along the route I was Mudged, I'm going to have to pick my races more carefully ;) .
The only new forumite I met was Swoop's fellrunning mistress Emmilou :D . This is all my fault as before a race I'm a bag of nerves & afterwards we shot off for a meal.
Hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as me.....I even got sunburn  ......but no cakes :( .
My shoulders are burnt and my feet are covered in Compeed plasters, I don't think the blisters had healed since Rivington Pike.
I met
Slow Coach
Daz H
Geoff B
And to be honest I'm too tired to think of who else
