Eng 93 for 3 and Bell has just come in.
Get the oil stone and axe.
Owt less than 50 and he gets the chop.
I only heard some of the early play this morning on TMS.
"So, having been lbw b Dharmasena in the first innings, it looks like Cook was c Dhoni b Dharmasena in the second innings" ... dodgy umpire!
England 240-3 at lunch and Trotty gets his century
England win the series and Bell gets a century

Well thats his test place for next 5 years.
England beat India by 9 runs. Very enjoyable game of cricket that
Nice to see Bell coming good yet again!
Lost again!
The out of form players need resting and give the others a chance.
Its tough to get in to the England team but even tougher to get dropped from it.
Bell finally delivers the goods and the game doesn't really matter as far as the series is concerned. The conditions were a bit more Brit friendly apparently (cold and the ball moved about a bit).
Steve Finn provides the "get out of jail free" for England. Not the first time a bowler has got England out of trouble but usually its with their bowling not their batting.
We just need Petersen to get his mojo back and hope for a better result in the next match. As an ex-bowler myself I'm a big fan of the Finn forward-defensive batting style
Its all looking a bit pear shaped over in New Zealand. Can Ian Bell bat all day? Can Johnny Bairstow step into Pietersen's shoes and knock a century ? As they only got 20 runs between them in the 1st innings then maybe not
I never doubted for a second the lads could pull off a draw  A bit of luck was needed on the day and we needed to pull out our secret batting weapon Monty Panesar but we did it. We drew with New Zealand
Great result in the circumstances (i.e. having played badly for four days).
There was someone on the BBC site saying how this was a great advert for test cricket.
So to summarise for the non-fan:
Three test matches over 15 days, taking weeks to complete. And the result was 0-0.
Woah there! Don't forget it rained quite a lot too. We're talking some serious meteorological razzamatazz here.
I think it was Boycott on the BBC saying about it being a great advert. Ok, test cricket isn't to everyone's taste, but he's right in that a day's play like today is pretty amazing and you need the long form of the game to generate that sort of scenario.
I missed all the excitement in the cricket today with doing the CWR. I didn't really expect that result either. Great bowling display by Stuart Broad apparently and I will have to catch up with the highlights later.
Century for Rooty  The two Yorkies have stopped the English rot and are now raining on the Kiwi's parade. :D
The summariser on the wireless captured all the key points. Root scored his maiden test century on a saturday on his home ground, in the first innings, in front of 12 thousand yorkshire fans. Key moment in English test history? Let's hope so - he looks pretty good at the moment.
Compton out Trott up to No 2 Bell No 3 Root up to No 4.
England win the series. I thought we would never get a result with the rain today.
They had nine maiden in a row before they got the final wicket. Job done - roll on the Aussies. :)
Good result.
The BIG ONE next.
I think we can win at least 3.
Essex all out for 20 against the mighty Lancs:thumbup: Glen Chapple 5 for 9
England reach the semis  Hoping for an Aussie victory today so we get South Africa in the semi-final.
Aussies lose but England still get South Africa due to the run rate in the match. A very good ending with the two Aussie tail enders almost getting them through. I am happy Mitchell Johnson is not in the initial Ashes squad as he is bowling well at the moment.
