I think probably unlikely, have found an MTB that fits the bill of what I am looking for - on paper - but currently out of stock (a troll through the internet seems to support this, unless I can grow 9 inches in height) but new stocks should be available from May 2023 🙄.Quote:

Although I will be watching the funeral with my family, I do object to an edict which could make cyclists be marked out for criticism should they choose to use the Bank Holiday to enjoy their hobby.
A neighbour called me disrespectful for arriving back on my bike during the height of the Thursday 8pm clap for the NHS! This will surely to lead to similar vilification.

Aside from the fact that I didn't really want a Bank Hol thrust upon me when I'm so busy with work... Nevertheless I'll be making the most of it with a nice long run...
Yes, I agree with both of you. felltrumpet and Travs. I will probably be out for a walk or a cycle ride next Monday. I have a huge amount of respect for the Queen, who did an impossible job brilliantly well for a very long time; but I can't get excited about a funeral of someone I've never met.
I remember the day of Princess Diana's funeral, when I went for a cycle ride. I was standing at the top of Breedon Hill, looking at the view, and I noticed someone else doing the same. We briefly looked at each other, without saying a word, but we knew what each other were thinking.
Fully agree with all of the sentiment expressed here. A group of us have also arranged to meet up and spend the bank holiday hacking out and cantering across the fells. Horse riding was one of the Queen's passions, and it's our way of honouring and remembering Her Majesty.Quote:
