Made my day climbing out and Mr Yates was there with his pipe saying well done lad , well done lad im impressed.
The bugger didnt give me a swig of his brandy though:o
Done it once and won't do it again. Found the decent off Grindslow Knoll very rocky under the grass which took away all the advantage for me. Pretty good at downhill pretty average at uphill.
entered this any easier/tougher than 3 peaks?
lakes runner use to do a map but have stopped selling it, anyone have any e maps willing to share?
I would say easier than 3 peaks as I got round this one but got timed out at the Hill Inn on the 3Ps. Very different races though and conditions can make the ES quite challengeing esp on the second half.
If you send me a PM with your email address, I can send you a PDF of the route. Not trying to be secretive or anything just don't know how else to post it.
Mines in the post today.
Fidaleo> As the map maker of the 'Edale Lakes Runner' map, I'd appreciate that you don't copy/send my copyrighted map to anyone.
Egor> If you check in with Lakes Runner in a couple of weeks they should have some more stock. :)
Why oh why have I just sent my chq off for this years' race. My thoughts are still plagued by the presence of Bertie Bassett and his previous incarnation with the oversized right hand from a coupla years back. Please tell me I was hallucinating. I don't do anywhere near enuff training to do this long stuff yet still find myself going thro' the motions. Mon next I just know that I'll be on line trying to get a PPP entry knowing full well that I won't be able to get the mileage in beforehand and that therefore I will suffer.
