No running today - marvellous! Marvellous on account of the MENTAL weather up here at the mo' and just don't fancy playing out. You can barely stand up let alone canter! :D
Mind you, will no doubt spend some time on the ol' rowing manchine tonight....
6 miles/1000' trail run up near Hameldon again. There's a lot of weather out there today - was going to go out on the bike but gave it a miss on account of the wind. 4 long days at work ahead and then 8 off for lot's of playing out :) Just clocked up 31,000' of ascent for Feb.
4 miles got pushed uphill by the wind.. fell into it on the way down though.. tad muddy, the cleaner in the co-op wasn't too pleased when i walked in tonight... :D
A five miler on the lanes behind Giggleswick yesterday evening in the dark with Kelly, my daughter. The wind was unbelievable with branches and logs falling from trees and the trees almost bending over sideways. I chose to tell Kels a 'true' werewolf story just at the most isolated wind ravaged end of our loop (the wind was whistling just like it does in scooby doo  )... which didn't go down well. Neither did the a dog (a big one by the sound of it) suddenly starting to bark at us from a nearby farmyard moments later.
Now just off for a half pendle practise run I think.
9 miles including an ascent of winter hill. Very windy all the way up and this made it twice as hard!:)
Good to get back to something resembling training.
I bet it was bloody windy at Bleasdale!
Cant even walk down the stairs without pain.
Road series for me this year I suspect.
7 miles - anti clockwise variation of last couple of runs - still v windy out there at 5pm.
5 miles on the roads.
10+ mile in Heaton Park. Warm up, 6x1 mile, warm down.
Very windy.
5 miles x country at a very easy pace
Only 36 mins (<5 miles) on usual mix of terrain from home.
Hard 10 mile road race, the Lasswade 10, hilly (over 1500ft I think looking at the profile on gmap, and windy today but pleased to take 2 minute of last years time. Frustratingly just over 70 min (I never said I was fast), which must be after a stitch at 7m. So near and yet so far.

8.5 miles across Marston Moor and back along the river banks. Way hard with a powerful head wind and ankle deep silt. Hope it's doing some good for the fells.
A long way and with lots of uppy bits.
Steyning Stinger marathon: 3.41....it's all about time on feet.
Cheers - Raymond
7.2 Miles off road around the Tame Valley Park
4m to work on singlespeed, first mile running uphill carrying bike, 8m home, felt good so hammered it. Feel bad now:eek:

Track session:
Pyramids of efforts,
200m, 300m, 400m, 500m, 600m, 500m, 400m, 300m, 200m
Recovery was the same as the prior effort.
Suprisngly hard session and followed a 10k race yesterday so legs died during each effort, again max HR of 168.
Why on earth do a session the day after a race??? Either,
A) You didn't try hard enough in the race.
B) You didn't do the session at a high enough intensity.
C) You like being injured.....
IMHO.....
After slogging round Noon Stone, did another 9 miler, but this time on roads home from work, 73 minutes in the sleet/snow/rain.. beers tomorrow, winter hill yomp on thursday then roddlesworth sunday. that's me done for the week..well that's the plan.;)
Yeah, sort of agree, but it was a shit weather night, session is near work. It was also only a 10k so I didn't feel that tired. Felt a bit leggy, but after a month of little quality running I'm going to do as much as I can over the next 2-3 weeks and then drop off at the end of the month.
Last monday, after a race, I reckon I did one of my strongest track sessions yet, but today I did felt sluggish but it was longer efforts.
5m on farm tracks. No snow down here but lots of snow and ice on the roads, plus clear and sunny weather with snow on the hills in every direction. Lovely. Morning runs are always gentle for me so just enjoying the scenery. Nice. ;)
Jason
4m to work at freezing cold 5am on roads and ice:eek:
4.8m 1209ft of ascent home in glorious sunshine:D
4 crispy miles-love it like this,i think this temperature is excellent-could do with racing at this temperature.
Again slightly under 5 miles in and around Farnley Park & Post Hill.
5 miles including the club road/ hills session. Feeling good and fast but a few little tweeks in the top, middle of both calfs so careful stretching tonight i think.

3X 4minutes Efforts On The Grass Flat
A nice 6.2 miles on the roads tonight around Cronton at 7min miles pace
