You cant be serious? 2 seasons at least.. let him spend.. to sack him would be a disgrace for me. I want him to have 2.5-3 seasons... if after 2.5 years things are clearly not improving then bring in someone else.. but only then.
Fergies 4 years are exaggerated somewhat, he took over a decent team, we did OK, high placings, then he rebuilt and each year we progressed.. so although after 3 years we weren't looking good the bed rock was in place.
Oh dear, all's not well.
Won't be long before your playing Leeds again.
2 seasons is the least he should be given. However, if he doesn't finish in the top 2 next year then I think he'll be on his way.
£220m wiped off Utd's valuation since the start of the season - the Glazers won't stand that for long.
Manchester United have lost 3 games in 2014. It is January 7th hahahaha
Baconface is unbelievable, he's left the club in a mess then has the gall to turn up home and away like a bad penny haunting Gollum. If Sunderland had scored a third tonight I reckon Gollum would have turned round and shouted at the Govan Piss Can - " Will you just f*ck off " before being taken away and sectioned.
Oh yes, what I am enjoying the most about this collapse is that it is a mess entirely of their own making.
When they were in cahoots with the other (sky4 clubs) to create the Premier League or Champions League or what-ever it was going to be called they were arrogant enough to think the cash cow and ensuing success would last forever as nobody would dare upset the status quo. Had the sky4 come to fruition they would have got away with this ‘transition period’ as nobody else would have had the money to compete.
No matter what the last few of the delusional pro Moyes fans think time is running out quickly. No Champions League next year would be a 'massive' loss for them both on and off the field. Liverpool have found out that once you're out of the top 4 it’s very difficult to get back in, and no matter how hard you try you are relying on a club to monumentally stuff up for you to even have a slither of a chance.
United have lived by the sword, now they’ll hopefully die by it.
Yep I'm serious. He has a worse record than our dear resent departed Dave sexton. If fact he has a worse record than our relegation year. Give him two years.....think of the damage. BLAME THE CHUFFING YANKS
You might find he has the worst home record
I can’t work out my most preferred result for the rags this season. Would a total collapse result in Moyes being sacked and the team being re-tooled in the Summer? That would of course mean no Champions League and no Europa League. Or would it be better to see them lose in the Champions League, lose in the Capital One Cup, and then finish 5th in the Premier League? That would put them in the Europa and probably save Moyes for at least one more season and probably cause them to evaluate their roster though they wouldn't really go crazy as they would feel that they were really pretty close with their current staff.
I'm thinking a 5th place finish would be the best result as that would result in them playing in the Europa which forces teams to play on Thursdays which would further hurt them in the Premier League. They would then have a lot of added pressure and would very likely push back them doing what they would really need to do to fix their problems and therefore extend their agony
My only worry of a quick decline is that the Yankee shysters may sell to someone with real money.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to who know's how to play with their balls. All the managers and all the training in the world counts for nothing if they are useless with their balls control.
I can't decide which is most entertaining, United's increasingly inept performances or Moyes's bizarre
ramblings at his after match press conferences. To me the guy looks like he is losing it, can't see him seeing the season out. Is he the only person in the country who didn't think it should have been a free kick in the build up to Giggsy slotting home the first goal.
Stagger as a City fan I've had 30+ years of shite from them and they're moaning after a fortnight..
They deserve everything they’re getting and here’s why..
..Most of them are up their arse arrogant shysters, many of them chose the club for success, they berate all those around them and are universally hated by all. Their newer fans (those under 35) wont cope without success and they will abandon the shirt in droves as they have no comprehension whatsoever that support is for the bad times as well as good times, they will have no one to turn to for comfort as every one else is laughing uncontrollably at them and their foretold demise.
The only comfort I can give them is this..
The first 10 years are the toughest..
Oh the joy, oh the glee. For 30 + years we have suffered their bile, shoving it down our throats, we hurt but took it on the chin and remained ever faithful. should we mock..... Oh yes, big time.

And back to spouting bullshit....
You really do talk nonsense. Look at Liverpool, did their fans leave in droves after 20 years of success?
Let's wait and see shall we.
Iain - Karma is a bitch that bites hard and you have at least 30 years of karma to come. There are rags in their mid thirties and younger who have never known hard times, never known what it is like to lose a lot of games, win nothing, get relegated. All they have known is success and being the top dog, able to gloat and take the piss all their lives just by pulling on that awful red shirt and saying they supported them, irrespective of whether they ever went to a game in their lives or not. They deserve all the hurt, pain and hopefully trophy-less years coming their way. As does Moyes. He trotted out and thrived on that claptrap as to what a great manager he was, over-achieving at Everton with little or no funds, sucking up to Old Trafford and Bacon face to ensure he got the job when it became available. Alot of the Everton fans had seen through him years ago and Martinez is proving what a sham he was.

You talk rubbish..
I'm 33.. OK I've had it good.. you don't lose that feeling, the nerves. or nausea watching your team just because they don't win.. don't be an idiot eh?
You are also re-writing history... whichis something you do.. he kept Everton up basically and built that club, most Everton fans if not all were gutted when he left. They were playing good football, Martinez has his team. You are trying to paint his time at Everton as just decent, he built that club from when it was constantly facing relegation, and with little to no money...
Its a bit cheap to be honest... you can criticise his United record fore sure but what he did at Everton was some job.
re sucking up to SAF.. honestly do you watch ant football.. they had some right old barnies with each other...
42 years as a Leeds fan, had a season tickets as a kid.
Always brought up to detest the reds from over the border.
Happy in their demise.
Had it rammed down my throat since AF took over and now to see the great down hill is bliss to a Yorkshireman
There's a lot of Nostradamus's on this thread now.
Decline will come but you will still be one of the top supported clubs.
Might be down to 55 or 60.
Going out of Europe,
No champs league next season
Wont win a trophy this year
New manager next season, no money to spend, no Europe, less tv coverage, top players leaving, falling attendance, falling sponsorship and City winning.
Plenty to look forward too Iain.
Iain lad we have already explained this to you. The United fans of 1974 were football fans and no doubt you will still have a hard core that will stick with United through thick and thin but you are saddled with a generation who only support United because of their almost constant success, they are not football fans as we used to know them and they will be off quick style as it all goes tits up.
Taxi for Allardyce
Negredo...
7m less than fellaini and 2m more than ashley young.
Just saying like
After tonight I think we might be beginning to gain a bit of an aura of invincibility which means plenty of teams are half beaten before they even get on the pitch.
United had it once but gave it away cheaply this season.
I really hope United beat Sunderland it would make for an amazing final.:p
With the situation looming large of United failing to reach the top 4 in the league, beating Sunderland would take us on to a league cup final which now looks like being against the bitter blue noses. Which would mean, win or lose, there's a very good chance we'll end up in the Europa league next season.
With that being said, I think I would rather we just went out against Sunderland and saved ourselves the arse ache of the Europa league and an inevitable thrashing in a wembley final off City?
It could be worse we could be west ham
Love that Dunkirk spirit, General.
You want to lose to Sunderland so as to avoid playing us in the final. Bloody hell, how times have changed.
It could be worse we could be west ham.
Richard, what people have to remember a lot of united fans were born under sir Alex rule and know nothing of the glorious reign of Dave sexton, who united sacked unjustly. My best days, my best utd team and manager were spent on the scoreboard padock watching them. Can todays fans tell me where that place was.
I think you're stuck with Moyes, Carlos.
Ferguson and Charlton have laid their cards on the table by running their mouths before a ball was kicked this season with their "oh we give managers loads of time here at United, we don't sack people" etc etc etc.
They've made a rod for their own back. The glazers won't interfere with the football side of things as they leave all of that to Ferguson.
