Re: Today's Training
6.5 miles at lunchtime, mostly on snow-covered lanes. The snow's very compacted now, turning to ice but still OK for Mudclaw studs to bite. 53 mins 8 secs: 5 mins faster than Tuesday but still nearly 3 mins slower than before the Xmas bloat-out. Never mind: I've been getting plenty of practice running on & in snow & that could come in useful for the Hebden!

Re: Today's Training
12x400m intervals this morning, which I found tough, and then a couple of easy miles this afternoon.
Is there a thaw out there? I hope so.

Re: Today's Training
Thought I would be OK in shorts today up Hameldon - wrong! Hip high drifts made for red legs and grazed shins - enjoyed it though even though I feel like a fat knacker. Surprisingly little evidence of footfall up there.

6.5 miles on crunchy/impacted snow mostly off-road. Used headtorch briefly for short section of bridleway between Calverley & Priesthorpe.

Re: Today's Training
2 runs this evening, 1st one was about a mile and a half with the dog, sprinting flat out up the climbs.... timed this one badly, as it was pretty much straight after eating pizza and garlic bread which kept repeating on me.
Second run was a bit over 4 miles and 1100' on the local footpaths in the snow, which is now sadly melting at lower levels. Felt much better on this one, and got round in a touch over 32 minutes without the taste of italian food!
