Yesterday - Mickldeden Straddle in the mist....
5.6 mile on the roads yesterday morning my first run since last Sunday and being unwell all week.
5 Miles/1000' up Hameldon. Felt good & felt light if that makes sense, enjoyed it.
Only time for a short 4 miler up and around Pex Hill today on the softer ground.
YES!...30 mins around Clent, my feet are wet, my trousers muddy, the wind was glorious, the grockles confused and the world is a fantastic place:D
Quick 30min blast after yesterday's sodden plod....:(
5 miles steady, still sore after my 22 on Thursday !
Just come back from a weekend in Keswick. Up Skiddaw on Saturday morning, slowest ever time up but by far the quickest ever down, which was a bit weird! Went out on the bike today, along Borrowdale, over Honister to Buttermere and then back over Newlands.
Brilliant RR!!
Was watching on TV while down at Bruv's in Bristol.
Last few days for me (on a solo few days away before w/e in Bristol):
Tuesday - 35 mins easy on the only offroad hills in Stratford upon Avon
Wednesday - 74 mins over the Wiltshire Downs - above the Cherhill White Horse if anyone knows it
Friday - 30 mins above the Westbury White Horse - also Wiltshire
Today - Ironwood Challenge off road race near Bristol - c7 miles
1.7 miles. Achillies still screwed.... Back to the Todays Injury thread for me... :(
15 mile for me, steady. Very windy.
About 1h 15m with 3 x 500ft climbs. "Plodding" is the new "speed" now...:p
55 Miles/2000' at 19mph/72% on the bike up to Giggleswick via Wigglesworth & Rathmell and back via Long Preston, Halton West and Bolton By Bowland.
That's the 2nd training session in a row where I've felt good
Started to read that and thought "oh my god!!!" ...then I saw the "on the bike" part and relaxed....
Still v. impressive though (speaking as a non-bike rider). :D
7 miles down riverbank, very windy but felt good
9 miles on the roads before tea tonight. Felt a lot stronger tonight and would of liked to have gone further but had to pick Harry up from my mums.
4 mile hilly road race, I kept the pace going until we hit the first hill. where I was blown away. I will rest tommorrow.
4m warm up on singlespeed with son, he beasted me, then 8 mile to work and 4 mile home at 10pm. Legs feel a lot better than yesterday, running tomorrow:cool:
40mins on the roads including 1 x 500ft climb. Nippy out though!
9 Miles steady
Unexpected bonus - had to go and collect the car from the garage so got another 6 mile run in. Champion! :p
Sorry lost track of when I last posted but been a few easy days of 3s and 4s, either on trail or park.
Then ran the Bath half marathon and despite freezing and getting hungry after the start was put back by an hour just 30min before it was due to go, I was well chuffed to go under 1:30 for the first time, getting 1:29:13. Not bad with such a poor warm up.
Then 7 hour drive back meant no run yesterday and just an easy recovery road and trail 4 this morning but feeling good.
Jason :D
Hour or so up on Addingham Moorside / Ilkley Moor this evening. First run since Hobble and felt good. The most stunning sunset literally stopped me in my tracks - WOW!!
Just over an hour on the tarmac tonight with the club. 3 sub 6 minute miles so it hurt seeing as I have not done very much speed work at all.
69 mins trails and fells seen a deer at walkerwood reser must of escaped from someones farm cos i don't think we have them wild here.
45 minutes circuit training followed straight away by an 8 mile road run with Skipton AC. The circuits were easy peasy  but a great warm up for the run.
4.8 mile 1031ft favourite off road route to work. First run since Hobble, legs felt ok. 4mile on road home, chilly wind:cool:
