2/3 TOP this morning, with 3 of those fantastic climbs thrown in :)
Tigger Tor race for me yesterday, 9miles and about 1800' climb. Ate far too much protein type food the night before, and really felt it on the first hill. Then I went flying on a patch of ice, and now have a purple big toe and knee :(
Amazing how much more energy you use up if you're limping a bit, I felt pretty close to blowing up a couple of times and had to walk for a few minutes on the flat.
Took me 1hr25.45, I was originally hoping for sub 1hr30 so I'm pretty happy, but my normal running partner (who is a bit fitter than me, but slower on the desents) did just over 1hr20. Even worse, Keith from winter mondays beat me by a couple of places, and then went off to play a game of hockey!
No running tonight as my toe's still purple, but should be back on the treadmill Tuesday, and the hills Wednesday.
[QUOTE=IanDarkpeak;302222], my rear is an interesting colour also:oQUOTE]
Brown?
Oh dear, purple toes and "interesting" rears! Not good!
Running - what's that then? :(
Have my running kit with me today and so if I get time later then I will be off out for a little explore :) (roads though  )
Up at 4.45 this am for a quick 3.5miler on the roads & lanes near me. Started using my trusty rucksack filled with paper again (8.5kg) .
Really adds weight to your climbs and works your thighs very hard. Couldn't do burpees afterwards as a result. Will do D3 tonight.
D3 of pull ups done at work (and 10 underarm pull ups each time I've gone for a drink from the machine) and made up for the fail on D2 t'other day.
Nothing too adventurous today & so no purple bits! Steady trail 5 this morning at 0730 and it was light! Ah bliss, half way through the winter.
