12.5 miles over t'moors with the doggy today. only saw one other person the whole way, and he was a fellow member of the dark side :D:D
I was going to give you a call this morning SS, who did you bump in to Steve? or Mike.
I set off from Snake Inn went up Ashup Clough to the top of William Clough where I surprised Swoop, DaztheSlug and Danazz, Joined them for the rest of the Downfall recce before reclimbing William clough and back to Snake.
25 Km and 650m
Beautiful day if a little cool in the wind. Went past the 'Shack', I hope they were prayer flags out side or LS needs some new clothes:D
50 mins from home - fields, Post Hill, Farnley Park etc... 50/50 on/off road.
Cheers Freddie! I am very please getting under 1:30 for the first time and only in my third year of consistent running (I don't count the running done before my 20 year break).
Easy 5.5 tonight on trail and road, feeling ok physically but have had sniffles and sneezes since Sunday, easing slowly though. Taking it steady and hoping for Ennerdale recce at w/e wind permitting.

Best part of a mile in the local pool after work - boring boring 64 times boring.
4 miles with OTHER PEOPLE - oh how very novel!
They bloody made me run faster than normal :( :D :( :D
7 miles off road, in the dark. still posted a nice time, despite having to slow in places for obvious reasons!!!!
Great run-out with clubmates last night from Silsden including probably our last visit to the Doubler Stones of the winter. Perfect night to be out with clear sky and bright moonlight!
8K an 400m From Torside res carpark set off on a micro nav run in thick hill fog and driving rain!!?
Set off for the same t Plant and two wrecks I was after earlier in the year when we made THAT discovery. Couldn't find the plant (well it is green and in the middle of Heather on a misty hill side) Got to the first wreck and decided to call it a day. returned via the pw
Where does that one go Ian? I've been up Torside onto Bleaklow but no route variations as yet.
Managed a quick 20mins or so just to stretch the legs today. Absolutley sodden through. :(
Jan it's the first time I've tried this route, we just wanted to explore. From carpark cross TPT and a small path/trod heads up the hill, it splitsa after a half a mile or so. R takes you round to Torside Clough I presume. e went straight on and came out near White Mare 075 977. All on compass and pacings to get to Sykes Moor. I will return in summer when I can see where I'm goin...;)
Thought you were having a day off! :p
Ta Ian, maybe will check it out too - when the weather clears....if ever....this winter's dragged on a bit....
easy 5 on local roads and trails with dog and misses after work. What a wind!!! Blows the days work away though.

Done 7.6mile tonight around Helsby Hill and the Sandstone Trail paths with Harrymoon and Idler with our headtorches. Ankle feels a lot better today but can only use my trail shoes for comfort and running at the min. Very wet and incredibly windy up on the top of the hill hard to stand up.
So much for giving my ankle another days rest. Glad I ran as I got no discomfort from it.
4.8 mile off road to work, fartleked it, tailwind and i felt good. 4m home on roads, windy and slow progress, couple of Strongbows now:cool:
Twenty hilly and windy miles on the bike with my dad. Really enjoying cycling. Hopefully it will make me run faster.
Salford 10k , 41.00, very windy robbed of Sub 40 again !, this would be a very fast course given the conditions, hoping for a big improvment at Wilmslow next week
On the bike today, 34 miles up towards Greenhow. Headwind, mostly uphill and bloody tough on the way out; tailwind, mostly downhill and 40mph for minutes at a time on the way back! All set for a weekend on the sauce :D
second half of the edale skyline today. starting in edale before climbing up to mam nick and picking up the route there.
VERY windy over lords seat and brown knoll, but the path over there is so well defined now it should be hard to get lost even in thick clag
saw a few other runners having a recce, all looked as windswept as me
Spent the last week at Strid Wood caravan club site near Bolton Abbey Yorkshire.
Couple of hour long runs up to Simons Seat and a few runs around the beautiful ruins and surrounding areas.
Enjoyed the break.:):)
did a steady 10 miles on the bike, been about 4 months since i've been on it,some very strong crosswinds out there today :D ,felt very hard due to the wind and me not having rode my bike for so long but i forgot how much i love cycling, can't wait till the clocks go forward, get out on my bike after work then, and finally get some fitness back
10 mile run approx (92 mins) from home - including first actual climb of the Post Hill 'Once-up' path for about 4 years.:)
Just an hour on the roads. Luckily was down and up valley sides so mostly out of the wind. Managed to get 2 x 500ft road climbs in. Day off tomorrow - yipee! :D
Tebay race route today in a bitter wind.
7 mile sort of hilly road run today
4.5 mile sort of flat road run tomorrow
3 mile flat road run monday
tapering down
10 mile easy today , well if you could call it easy in that wind
Another "just an hour" on the roads. V quiet out for a Sat I must say.
Half hour in horizontal hail......in me shorts.:D
Thanks mate.
Just trying to retain some credibility.
Imagine how the old lady i thundered towards through the hail storm in the valley felt?
Might as well have been bigfoot or the yeti judging by the look on her face.
30 mins through soft slushy snow - good at making you keep those knees up! :p
Going out later. Beautiful day and im incapable at the mo due to last nights excesses.:o
about 6 mile hilly road road around the Strines valley. Felt terrible, don't know why, I've rested last few days but last long run tommorrow before the skyline.
Think now would be a good time to go. Rest of the family insist on watching bunch of overpaid egos kicking sack of wind around pitch.
