Re: Today's Training
Gentle steady state run - 1/2 road / 1/2 tracks.
Distance - 8.6 miles
Time - 1 hr 6 mins
Elevation gain - approx 1100ft
Conditions - heavy drizzle, saturated under foot, slipping all over the place off road.:D
Legs felt quite heavy - thanks to last night squat session I thinks:)

Re: Today's Training
usual blast up to the Beacon and back down - 55 minutes, some elevation for sure. Managed to miss the wet weather that started just as I got back to the rose garden.

Re: Today's Training
Ran home from work yesterday afternoon - 6.3 miles mostly off road, some up and down - body still reminding me about Edale. As a result didn't do club headtorch run in the evening - probably last one of the winter.

Re: Today's Training
Yesterday I ran the Loughrigg-Silver Howe Chase route (well roughly the route, I took more than my fair share of dodgy lines!).
What a great course, loads of scope for route choice! Quiet out on the hills though spied two other runners who got a wave. Also the first Wheatear of the year on Silver Howe :) Spring is officially here!

Re: Today's Training
Got very very wet running last night - set out in a bit of drizzle but the rain snuck up on me so by the time I'd realised it was hard then I was soaked to the skin.... Dog's lead snapped 1/2 a mile in also, so that made the dsescents a bit tricky (holding a mutt on 2' of string is not ideal when you're tring to get back while you can still see where you're going!). Still enjoyed it though, and Pets at Home replaced the lead without a problem.... Probably did about 2 1/2 miles in all.
Back of my right heel's agony on any climb during this morning's run - only managed about a mile and most of that was a few laps of a football pitch :( Anyone ever taken the heel cup out of their shoes (or cut it down) as it seems to be the cause of my pain?
