Up in the Lakes on Saturday... from ODG up Crinkle Crags by Red Tarn, then over Bowfell and Esk Pike to Esk Hause, up Scafell Pike and back to ODG via Esk Hause and Rosset Gill. Weather not too bad, bit of clag on the tops and tricky underfoot at times. There's a full write-up on my blog in my signature.

Something around Hardknott Roman Fort. Taking my wife and children to Eskdale Youth Hostel for 2 nights. Looks like we're going to get soaked.
love it round there - I always think what a wild and intimidating place it must have seeemd to your average legionnaire from Tuscany.
And it's a truly fantastic walk up the Esk Valley to Cam Spout and from there over Scafell to Wasdale. Although last year we got beaten by some truly terrible weather, and then managed to get quite scarily lost trying to contour round the south-western flanks of Scafell.
Ended up back at the Woolpack Inn when we were meant to be overnighting in Wasdale ...
16 mile on the roads yesterday from Sefton Park back to Cronton via Hale. I have followed that by 12.81 mile on the Ashurst Beacon and Parbold hill race routes back to back with Sinatra early this morning.
Recce of Lake, Ridge and Wainwright LDWA event. 24ml / 7300ft
