Its fine with just a smattering of snow and a 'bit of a breeze' on the tops. Its shorts and one top weather... trust me  :D
thanks stolly - looking like sunday better weather day (kind of), you about??
Sorry ratfink - not about on Sunday :(
no worries stolly think i have persuaded another fool...i mean friend :p
your mapped runs look lovely - keen to head up more and do more exploring.
Have a good time Jo and wrap up warm! Me and Emma had a great day out on the hills but as she said it was blooming freezing esp going up Whernside and very slippery underfoot. It's reminded me of how horrible the race is going to be.....not sure if I want to do it now!
ta linda, i've got a totally wrong impression of the race - cos it was shorts and vest last year :)

*******unofficial hijacking of Stolly's Hill Runs**********
Ok-I've decided to write about our run today because I have suggested to Stolly that one day he publishes his notes/pictures, so if he does, and I feature in it, then I can get some royalties!!
So, we were supposed to be doing a 3PPP recce to help me achieve some more speed, but after starting well up PYG we hit the bogs and the floods. I am sure the true author will better inform about the terrain but it was the wettest I have ever seen the 3 PPP's. Parts that are not usually under water were, and the crossing at the bottom of Whernside was totally impassable-a real torrent. So we doubled back then met some other 3 Peak- ers who said they knew a bridge across. Our fast recce had gone to pot by then and I was all for bailing out but no, Mr.Mad decided to go on! The rest was wet, windy, boggy and bloody!! But, a great blast in glorious Dales weather with even better company! Thanks to the Stoll-meister!! (and I'm looking at Royalty Law's for publishing now!!)
Rachel
ps-Stolly-will you put the picture with me on on the forum?-I think you get even more for images used!!
Inner thigh chaffage was the highlight of the run today - blood was actually pouring down my legs . I actually screamed a fantastically high pitched, blood curdling, Psycho-esque shower scene screech when I got in the shower afterwards
Serves me right for running in shorts... for over 5 hours... in the pissing rain... with fat thighs that rub together :D
Report to follow and thanks for the company Rachel and your 'sincere' concern for my massive blood loss.
