my pod is in clayton, bradford. russell is first class. not too far from leeds. pm me if you want his number. i cannot call myself hobbler any more!
Can i just make a point that different podiastrist have differnt methods and theories when it comes to orthotics. EG, some podiatroists think leg lenght difference is important, where others think this factor is academic.
Confusing i know. it may be wise sometimes to shop around first.
well i have got mine now... will see how i go!
You are in luck!
I visit Andrew Horwood in Leeds. Think it's called the Moortown Clinic, nr to Roundhay.
Absolutely top podiatrist, tel 0113 269 7274.
The best one I have met so far, including other ones in Sheffield and Settle.
oooooooops I'm a bit behind with the posting!
For those who have othotics, which material do you prefer? Carbon fiber or foam...or anything else?
Just been and had the casts taken of my feet, so should have them in a weeks time!
How are you getting on with yours one hill?
Fantastic hopey :)
I wear them in my work shoes as well because they make my feet feel really comfy :D
Running wise - well I am not really back into running properly yet, I've just been doing little runs, but so far so good - my knee, which I couldn't even run on before, is fine, not even a twinge :)
and another thing, I used to get really tight calf muscles, if I hadn't run much for a week or two and when running up hill. I always put it down to lack of fitness/not stretching enough etc but now I realise it was probably because my feet were always twisting inwards making my calf muscles work extra hard :D
Good luck - let us know how you get on too! Fingers crossed you have good results as well.
how were they to break in,i have just finally started to wear mine most of the day at work and dont seem to be having any problems apart from my feet aching alot towards the end of the day and then if i go for a run after work my feet ache a bit, taken me nearly 2 months to break them in to be comfy
