Post run depression :(
I had a great weekend with titterstone and long mynd . A good mix with a short sharp run saturday to warm everybody up for a longer run on sunday with a bit of sledging thrown in .
Long mynd is the longest race I've done so far and allthough it really hurt it makes me want to try to become better at this slightly crazy sport of ours .
Well done to everybody who braved the elements .
What will I do for the next few weeks untill the next race ?
I may have to find another one to do sooner .
Stef ,
I'm glad some of us went the slightly longer route else who would have found the fallen runner ? He was in a bad way when we found him and I think another 30 mins would have caused him serious problems .
Like I said Alastair , your truly dedicated to the cause .
Another great set of shots .

I agree - he was not getting back on his own - couldn't stand up. It's doubtful anyone else followed us down that way. Good thing the marshalls weren't too far off.
Post race blues - common problem. You could tag onto the edale reccee on the 1st March if you're wanting a good fix. Lots of forum members are going.
I ache all over and have a bruise on my bum despite it being well cushioned!:(

Thanks , I will investigate .
I'm sure you allready know but there's some great photos of the race

Thinking of doing this one as I have seen in previous threads that it a hard one!!
Have a bit of a problem - I only have a montane fetherlite smock which is windproof, whereas the rules on the website stipulate a waterproof is required. Would a windproof be OK?
If it is, then I will probably do the race, if not, does anyone know where I can buy a relatively cheap waterproof?!
I have just purchased two Waterproof breathable light weight tops with Hood for £10 each off MM. Granted they are Regatta and not the best that i have added to my list of many fell coats, but they sound ideal for you if you do not want to spend to much money. In fact i only purchased two because of the price. If you cant get one off M&M let me know and you can have one of mine for a tenner. ( Im doing the Long Mynd Valleys )

ps take it from me, if the weather is bad you will need full waterproofs.
brilliant heads up mate just bought one myself along with some other goodies
Thanks for the pointer on the regatta waterproof. I have a regatta factory shop close by so will go and see how much they are there - there is also a helly hanson shop so might end up spending more than I want!!
