Dont be so sure as you wont get lost
I have :o
There are several ways in which it can go through the woods.
Be mindful that there is a slight walk to the start. I may do it if my knee isnt still giving me gip:(

It'll be a couple of laps of the woods. There are only so many ways through it. Up one of the ascents down the other.
Count me in. :)
Parking is always an issue. Try to carshare if poss. People have been known to go the wrong way in the woods, but usually as a result of not following the red and white marker tape. It will be muddy - shoes have been lost! Watch the wooden bridge half way round - it's slippy as **** and several runners have come a cropper on it.
There's an outside chance that I may turn up and stumble round slowly.
I turned up for this one today. Done it a few times in the past but David Denton has set up a new route in the last couple of years and I have to say I much prefer it. It's still fast and runnable but makes more use of the ups and downs and David has managed to squeeze another 100feet of climbing in. Feels much more like a fell race now. Top race for an Easter Sunday.
That was a lovely little race. I took along 3 family members who had never done a fell race before and they all beat me. Next time I'm not going to lend them fell shoes.
I took along a newbie too, a pleasant first intro to the muddier side of running.
A very big thankyou to David Denton and helpers today for providing a new venue and course for the latest version of the race.
A good turnout and David just keeps on coming up with brilliant fell races.
Thanks for a great day.
A few forumites out . Please please help David out by pre registering in future. Just a quick e mail and your number will be ready.
All you have to dooms make sure you have the correct change. Makes it much smoother all round.
As usual he put on the childrens races.
Fantastic
Definitely agree with you Daz. In my view the best course yet and a better registration/parking area.
You had a cracker - must be those pounds you've shed :-)
Good to have fell races a bit nearer this end of Derbyshire.
So big thanks to Dave Denton for putting today's race on and there's a couple more later - April and June I think - see FRA calendar.
