Weather looking pretty grim for tomorrow. Could be another Foel Fras on the cards!
Foel Fras was a picnic compared to today! Think most people did a bit of sight seeing on Carneddau (me included :o ), taking in lovely driving rain and sleet, persistent driving wind complete with a few knock-you-off-your-feet gusts and clag so thick it was possible to run straight past the checkpoint tent (me again..)
Snowdon was actually worse... 80mph winds
race was cancelled round 4:30 I think - may have been some sort of incident but not sure - I think around 30 in Category A finished
CD won - time of 4:42 I think
funniest part of the race was having two walkers sheltered in a little rock cave just after Llewelyn help me put my thermal top on - my hands had gone and needed help to put the thermal on and do up the waterproof zipper:
walker one to walker two: "no, your doing it wrong - you have to put her hands through the arm bits first"
walker two: "I'm not used to putting clothers ON a lady, usually too busy trying to do the opposite"
Just seen this

latest news.
I did awfully i was third in the short up to the first checkpoint where i wondered around before sitting down and crying on a rock for an hour having disagreement with my compass which way was north. Got my act together eventually and got down to Pen-Y-Pass and stormed (crawled) up the pyg track. At Garnedd Ugain i sat in the tent for 15 minutes before hobbling to Snowdon. Finish time 3:13.50. Should do 1:50 next year :D
Weather atrocious and pudgy knows about my experience in bad weather :(
bbc news still says two are missing and 8 taken to hospital. I hope this is not still the case?
