true enough - he and the others in the group obviously paced it precisely to take as long as poss without danger of missing the cut-off. Was just making the point that Sagan had been involved in some pacing of Nibali in the early climbs before he dropped back to that group.
One issue: Radios. God, does anyone (except the team management and the TdF management) think they are a good idea!!? It really stifles spontaneity, rider intitiative, ad hoc alliances and the natural tactical evolution of a stage.
I know the UCI don't want them, we can only pray to god the Tour people listen.
Thought it was hilarious when BW admitted that Froome's burst up the final climb was because 'they couldn't hear David on the radios'.
