Bad luck Funzle, but you did the right thing. Quite a few ignored the announcement a couple of minutes before the start confirming the kit requirements, and took it upon themselves to run without any. I suppose they are lucky to be in the results.

Only 5 minutes? I missed it altogether because some dozy idiot closed the M6, so it took me 3 hours to get there.... :confused:

To be fair I had little choice as the marshall insisted, I guess those that ran without just didnt get spotted. It wasnt on purpose though as we got stuck in heavy traffic and only just made it to the start line on time so didnt hear any announcement or have time to check the board. After thinking we were going to miss it altogether I was so chuffed to be there in the nick of time, which is why having to run back to the car and miss the start was so so frustrating. It actually meant that I ran a extra mile in all as we just carried straight on through the start line. Once I caught the back of the pack my spirits lifted and I challeged myself to see how many I could catch and also what time I could do on my own watch. I should be greatful I guess hearing that some people didnt make it at all.
